What makes Atlanta such a great place to earn an MBA? I chose Atlanta because it feels like a city where you don’t have to choose between tradition and innovation. You have world-class companies and a startup scene that doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves. I’m excited to learn from both. As an international student, I’m also looking forward to meeting people from different industries and backgrounds because I know some of the best lessons will happen outside the classroom.

Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Emory Goizueta’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Goizueta’s ability to blend academics with real-world experience stood out to me. I didn’t want to spend two years only learning frameworks. I want opportunities to test them, refine them, and grow through them. Coming from a fast-paced startup, I know the best lessons often happen when you’re solving real problems with real people. That emphasis on experiential learning made me confident I’d leave Emory not only with an MBA, but with the judgment and confidence to lead in any environment.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Emory Goizueta? I’m especially excited to get involved with Goizueta Women in Business, the Tech Club, and the Food & Wine Club because each represents a different part of the MBA experience I’m looking forward to. Women in Business stood out to me long before I was admitted because of how intentionally they engaged with prospective students. That early sense of community made a lasting impression, and I’m excited to be part of a network that invests in mentorship and leadership development. The Tech Club aligns with my curiosity about emerging technologies and how they’re transforming business. The Food & Wine Club may seem lighter, but some of the strongest friendships are built around shared experiences, good food, and meaningful conversations. As an international student, I’m excited to both share my culture and learn from others throughout my time at Goizueta.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: While I’ve been fortunate to have several career milestones, my proudest accomplishment was helping to build Jamaica’s first all-female delivery fleet at MyLabBox. Beyond improving our logistics network, the initiative created new income opportunities for women and demonstrated that innovation can be as much about people as it is about technology.

Looking ahead two years, what would make your Emory MBA experience a success? Two years from now, I’ll consider my Emory MBA a success if I’ve grown into a more confident and thoughtful leader, built lifelong relationships, and challenged myself in ways I couldn’t have imagined before arriving. I hope to leave Goizueta with not only new skills and career opportunities, but also the courage to think bigger, lead with purpose, and create meaningful impact wherever my career takes me.
