Undergraduate School and Major: Cornell University, Biology and Applied Economics & Management Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Founder, Groundwork Health What makes Atlanta such a great place to earn an MBA? I am fortunate to have lived in Atlanta for a few years prior to earning my MBA. I have made really close personal and professional friendships that have sustained my desire to live and learn here. Atlanta sits at the center of the next generation of innovation and growth across industries like healthcare, tech, media, and finance. The resources to build and scale a company or a career here are accessible, which matters especially for students standing at an inflection point in their careers. Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Emory Goizueta’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I chose Goizueta because of its reputation and its tight-knit community. The small class size means I’ll build real relationships, not just with classmates but with faculty. Every student I talked to said the same thing, that the faculty genuinely care about your growth and take an active role in helping you get where you want to go. That kind of access to people who are invested in you is rare, and it was a big part of why I chose this program. What course, club or activity excites you the most at Emory Goizueta? Honestly, I’m most excited about the range of it. I’ve heard so many good things about specific faculty from current students, and I can’t wait to learn from them directly. Outside the classroom, the community at Goizueta covers everything from innovation and entrepreneurship clubs to the tennis club. I want to sharpen my thinking in the classroom and build real relationships with people who care about totally different things than I do. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I’ve spent the last three years as a full-time entrepreneur, and my biggest accomplishment is taking a company from zero to 10,000 users. I learned fundraising, strategy, and relationship building in real time, all while having a genuine, positive impact on the people we served. Looking ahead two years, what would make your Emory MBA experience a success? Success would mean walking away with a strong network I can rely on for years to come. I want to build relationships with classmates, faculty, and people across the business community that last well beyond graduation and keep paying off long after I leave campus. © Copyright 2026 Poets&Quants.
