Undergraduate School and Major: University of Delhi – Bachelors in Economics Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Senior Product Marketing Manager – Zenoti Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of IIM Bangalore’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? IIM Bangalore is popular for tech-related roles like Product Manager, Tech-consulting, IT Strategy, and more. I had keen inclination towards this field; IIMB’s strong reputation in these areas was a significant factor in my decision to pursue my MBA from here. Apart from this, IIMB’s professors are renowned experts in their fields and ensure that coursework remains current and highly relevant to today’s digital business landscape. What has been your favorite course or extracurricular activity at IIM Bangalore? What has been the most important lesson that you have learned from it? Swimming. I was a novice in swimming when I came here and feared going into deep water. Despite that, I took the plunge and decided to go for swimming classes every day after my regular classes. The key lesson from this has been this: Consistency leads to progress. Even on busy days packed with classes, quizzes, and exams, showing up regularly for swimming classes made all the difference for me. Not only did I overcome my fear of water, but I also made some good friends along the way. What makes Bengaluru such as great place to earn your MBA? Bengaluru is the Silicon Valley of India and home to thousands of startups and MNC. As an IIM Bangalore student, this offers me direct access to a vibrant ecosystem of innovation. There are ample networking opportunities due to high proximity to many leading businesses. Not only this, Bengaluru’s strong entrepreneurial culture, supported by incubators, startup accelerators, and venture capital networks, makes it equally conducive for MBA students here to either pursue placements or do their own startup. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I’ve often been the youngest person in the room—whether at my first job, my latest role, or even in college. In my last role, I was a Senior Product Marketing Manager at one of India’s leading unicorns. Learning and growing early in life has been one of my biggest achievements, helping me reach key milestones ahead of the curve. Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: As part of the Entrepreneurship course in Term 1, I, along with few friends, worked on a business idea aimed at improving financial literacy among children. We identified the problem, conducted in-depth market research, spoke to potential users, and validated our idea through successful hypothesis testing—eventually reaching the MVP stage. This hands-on learning experience has been my biggest accomplishment so far. Apart from this, the art of prioritization has been another very important skill that I have gained after joining MBA. What is your class’s favorite hangout away from school? Why do you gather there? While not completely away from school, our favorite hangout away from classes is going on night walks around the IIMB campus. The campus is beautiful and peaceful at all hours, making it the perfect place to unwind. Sometimes, we stop by a campus café during these walks to relax and chat. The class also gathers in the hostel blocks to celebrate birthdays, making these moments a fun and stress-relieving part of our routine. What do you hope to do after graduation? After graduation, I aim to join a leading organization where I can contribute and grow my skills. In the next 5-10 years, I hope to become an industry expert in my chosen field—whether that’s product management or another tech-driven role—while making a meaningful impact. What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into IIM Bangalore? Trust yourself and be authentic! Even if you feel you might not get into IIMB, go ahead and apply—you’ll learn a lot about yourself and identify areas to improve for next time. The entire process, from the entrance exam to the final admission, can be exhausting, but believing in yourself makes all the difference. Be genuine throughout, especially during the interview. IIMB values diverse experiences, and if you have the drive and potential, your effort will pay off. All the best! DON’T MISS: MEET IIM BANGALORE’S EPGP CLASS OF 2026 © Copyright 2026 Poets & Quants.
