What has made it such a great place to earn an MBA? My favorite part has been how close-knit and engaged the community feels. Despite being a metropolitan area, it has the warmth of a suburban town. The strong corporate presence, including numerous Fortune 500 companies, creates constant opportunities to connect coursework with real-world projects, networking, and recruiting. Carlson MBAs spend a year in hands-on Enterprise programs for Consulting, Branding, Ventures, and Funds. Which program do you intend to enroll in? What excites most about your Enterprise program? I plan to enroll in the Carlson Ventures Enterprise, an experiential learning program where MBA students consult on innovation and growth opportunities for startups, social ventures, and Fortune 500 companies. I am excited to tackle ambiguous, real-world challenges with my classmates and to strengthen my problem-solving skills. Aside from your classmates, experiential learning, and location, what was the key part of the Carlson MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I wanted a program that was going to help me more deeply understand the medical industry and how to innovate within it. With Carlson’s Medical Industry Leadership Institute (MILI), there was no better choice for my MBA. I have already learned so much through MILI’s network of medical industry alums and the high quality, informative programs where we have learned from a variety of them. I’m extremely excited for my MILI classes next semester and what I will gain from them. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: Organizing a campaign in a village near my hometown allowed me to help over 150 children obtain essential vaccines. Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: Managing the academic, professional, and social demands of a rigorous full-time MBA program, while learning how to prioritize and stay organized has been a key part of my experience and a big accomplishment. What has been your best memory as an MBA so far? My best memory as an MBA so far has been the support that I have received from Carlson alumni. Their approachability and willingness to help has been invaluable in my MBA journey and I am grateful to be part of such a supportive community. © Copyright 2026 Poets & Quants. All rights reserved.
