Consultant Bio

Amy received her MBA and MA in International Studies from the Wharton School and Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Entrepreneurial Management. She obtained her BS in Business Administration and BA in Chinese from UC Berkeley, with a Global Management Concentration from the Haas School of Business. At Wharton, Amy was a Venture Fellow for the Leadership Venture Program. She wrote her MA thesis on Luxury Goods in China and spent the summer interning at a VC firm in Beijing, China. At UC Berkeley, Amy played water polo and was on the Dean’s Honor List for seven semesters. Along with her work as an MBA application adviser, Amy has been an alumni interviewer for the Lauder Institute at Wharton for the past several years. Before moving back to California, Amy spent the last 3+ years working in China helping early stage internet and e-commerce start-ups – including Groupon China, a subscription beauty discovery box company, and a mobile survey platform – establish their businesses in Asia. At these start-ups, of which there were two successful exits, Amy held roles in business development, product development, operations, and general management. In addition, Amy spent five years in consulting (working in SF, NY, and Shanghai) specializing in operations and China strategy. Amy is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and enjoys running, hiking, and yoga in her spare time.
