  • Incredible Mentor & Guide For The MBA Admissions Process
    3 months ago
Working with Amy and the Stacy Blackman Consulting (SBC) team has been an incredible experience. Looking back, I can confidently say that Amy was irreplaceable throughout my application process, from when I started rediscovering myself to when I received the acceptance updates. Amy is the reason why I was able to complete applications to 8 schools during R1 and get admitted to Yale SOM, Columbia Business School, and Kellogg with a scholarship as an international student. With her in-depth expertise working at Wharton and as a copywriter, Amy made the daunting process of writing materials for eight schools manageable and, dare I say, even enjoyable and therapeutic at times. She really got to know my story and helped me turn my experiences into expressions of self-discovery ...

  • Amy Is Fantastic
My experience with Stacy Blackman Consulting (SBC) and specifically Amy was exceptional due to SBC's expert team and personalized support. Amy, a former Wharton Admissions professional, provided invaluable insights that strengthened my application and boosted my confidence. When evaluating firms, I chose SBC over others for their deep Wharton expertise and structured approach, with Esther’s initial guidance and Amy's expertise making my decision clear. The team-based support, including Kim’s flight test feedback and Anthony’s mock TBD session, provided critical preparation and a well-rounded perspective. SBC’s professionalism, strategic insights, and dedicated support were instrumental in my success, and I’m grateful for their partnership.

  • Couldn't Be More Thankful For Amy
Amy Hazen is a hero. My application was unique with both a business reorganization and contract work, but Amy and the Stacy Blackman Consulting (SBC) team handled it beautifully. Amy acted as both guide and therapist by asking the right questions and presenting my journey as an asset rather than a liability. With a busy schedule, I needed someone that was patient and flexible, and that's certainly what I received with Amy's All-In package support. Amy does a fantastic job of isolating key facets of a narrative and weaving a story, taken from her time in journalism. She truly brings your profile to life for the admissions committee. I couldn't be more thankful for Amy and the SBC team!

  • Go-To For Wharton Executive MBA(WEMBA) Coaching
    1 year ago
Amy coached me to prep for Wharton Executive MBA(WEMBA) round and I got admitted to WEMBA, testament to how awesome Amy is. As she was a prior admission officer in WEMBA, she exactly told me how the interview happens, what to expect, what to highlight, what to skip. Advise for very specific and concrete. Talking to her, I also got confidence that I can perform well and have a decent chance to get an admit. I did a 2 hours, broken down - 1 hour of information and answering questions and 2nd hour of mock interview. Lastly, it does feel expensive at the start, but it is worth very dollar and it is worth the investment in the long-run, also it helps one save valuable time which ...

  • Amy Is The Best! - Admitted To My Top Program!
Amy was absolutely wonderful to work with! Because of her, I got admitted to my #1 school, Wharton! I was also accepted to LBS and CBS with a 100k scholarship! She really got to know me at the beginning to create an approach to my business school applications. She found ways to weave in unique experiences I have had into my applications. Because I didn't get my desired GMAT score until a few weeks before R1, I had to rush to finish up my applications. Amy always responded with feedback and edits to my essays very fast to ensure I would be ready for the application deadline. I highly recommend Amy!

  • Lived Up To Her Billing As A Wharton & MBA Expert!
Having attended undergraduate studies overseas, I felt I needed some support for my Executive MBA applications. Wharton was my top choice and having worked at the school for over 12 years, Amy was the perfect consultant for me. She provided multiple value-additive comments on my essays and application forms. However, the highlight of working with Amy was the interview preparation session. We rehearsed answers to almost all of the questions that came up in the real interview, which enabled me to perform strongly. Would highly recommend Amy for any MBA applications, but especially Wharton!

Beyond grateful for Amy and her tentative help and advice as I applied to four schools in one month. Was admitted to three all with significant scholarships and have chosen Columbia. • Exceptional Consultant For My Re-Application!
Amy was essential to my admittance to HBS as a re-applicant. In the prior year’s cycle, I was admitted to NYU through the help of Applicant Lab, but I wanted to give it another shot. With her expertise as a former Wharton Admissions expert and professional editor (this came in very clutch!), Amy helped me create a completely different application that highlighted a more authentic and personal story. She was especially amazing during the final stretches of applications when she quickly responded with her thoughts to each new draft of my essays. I would highly recommend her as a consultant to anyone going through the process! The rest of the SBC team was also great. Sarah quickly paired me up with Amy. Kim, my flight ...

  • Best Decision I've Made - Amy's A Game Changer!
Applying to business school is one of the most difficult things I've had to do and requires the right balance of personal introspection and external framing. As a reapplicant this year from a very target/overrepresented background, I felt a lot of anxiety about the process and I consider Amy to be the biggest reason I was able to gain admission to all three of the programs I applied to. From meeting with Sarah Tsai, an SBC leader who matched me with Amy, I appreciated the personal touch Amy and the team brought to my application. I had worried that for this amount of money and given how big of a brand they have, I'd get more removed service, but Amy felt like a friend and ...

  • Exceptional Consultant - Admitted To My Top 3 Schools!
Amy has been an incredible advisor and resource to me throughout the application process - her guidance helped me secure admissions to my top 3 MBA programs. Through our initial touchpoint and a brief recap of my personal and professional experiences to date, Amy readily identified the idiosyncratic strengths and weaknesses of my application and helped me establish a unique personal brand. She put together a highly detailed and extremely well-structured plan to tackle school applications, with careful consideration not only of application deadlines but also of which school essay topics should be prioritized which we would later use as a baseline for the remaining school essays. Amy is a gifted storyteller. Her strength is her ability to balance the core facets of what Admissions Committees are ...

  • Excellent Guide & Great Outcome!
SBC was recommended to me by a former Wharton grad who raved about his experience with them. Although I was hesitant to spend the money on a consultant, my first meeting with Amy confirmed that it was the right decision. Amy provided an excellent roadmap for completing my application and truly helped me format my story compellingly and honestly. She was an excellent listener and believe that she truly understood my background and career desires. Amy's experience with Wharton and guidance was essential to my earning admission to the Wharton MBA program. The team at SBC was excellent as well. Sarah, my initial contact, challenged many of my assumptions and was a big reason I chose to proceed forward with a consultant. I also worked with ...

  • Amy Is An Excellent Consultant!
I contacted SBC because it was recommended to me by current MBA students. SBC provided me with team-based support. Sarah acted as my matchmaker and ensured that I was matched with the best consultant for my personality and target schools. Amy, my primary partner and a former Wharton Admissions Expert, created a detailed plan and supported me throughout the application process. Lisa, a former MBA admissions officer, provided a flight test and final feedback for my application. Lastly, Anthony, also a former Adcom, prepared me for Wharton’s mock team-based discussion. In the end, I was very happy with my results! Amy is understanding, friendly, and detail oriented. She relieved a lot of my stress by ensuring that I was organized by putting together a roadmap with ...

  • Great Guide!
When I contacted SBC, there were only 2.5 weeks left until the essay deadline. I was put in touch with Amy, who gave me great feedback on my first draft. She questioned me in a way that allowed me to come up with the best version of my essay. She answered very quickly to the emails and helped me get the final version on time. She was very patient and very encouraging throughout the process. Without hesitation, I recommend working with her.

I found Amy through Stacy Blackman Consulting, and I am soooo happy that I chose to work with her on my Wharton EMBA applications. She has extensive experience with the Wharton EMBA program. • Huge Help To My MBA Application Process
    4 years ago
I had a very specific goal of only applying to the Wharton EMBA program and I decided to go with Amy because of her extensive experience with that program. She was structured, supportive, and always available to answer questions by text/email. We had multiple sessions per week and she was always able to provide actionable advice on my materials before each session. She not only helped me navigate my application process but also my sponsorship proposal process to my employer. Overall, she was a huge help and I would highly recommend her!

  • Amy Is An Exceptional Consultant
I cannot express how thankful I am to have worked with a consultant as talented and attentive as Amy. She excels in her capability to revise and polish one's work, coach and explain exactly what the school is looking for, and in giving feedback in a timely and efficient manner, making her a true triple threat. Her friendliness during the process was greatly appreciated and was only outshined by her honest and thoughtful revisions. I firmly believe that I could neither have made my essay as polished nor made it as quickly had it not been for Amy's help. Her rate is a bargain for the service that she provides in peace of mind alone. It is with great pleasure that I recommend Amy wholly ...

  • Amy Is A Must For A Successful Application.
I found Amy when I contacted Stacy Blackman consulting. I initiated a phone chat with Amy and was truly amazed by her experience and opinions on business school applications. For me, business school is in a totally different world compared to my deep technology background, Amy is the person who helped me dig into myself and helped me connect my facts, and help me present my facts in a proper way that a business school will value. She is VERY responsive to all my emails and requests along the way, so when there was something I was thinking about and wanted to ask for suggestions before proceeding further, she always got back to me within several hours. • Amy Was Such A Critical Piece To My MBA App
    4 years ago
When I decided to work with an MBA admission consultant, I interviewed consultants across quite a few companies. What I really appreciate most about Amy is her aggressive listening style and truly trying to understand me so that we can put our best foot forward with the application. Instead of filling blurbs in essays, or sounding hokey, we reflected on my strengths and strategized how to highlight them. She helped review my essay and provided critical feedback as I continued to improve upon them.
