I am so happy I chose Tatiana for my application process! As an international student, I knew I needed professional help to navigate MBA applications since I didn’t even know where to start. After talking to multiple consultants, I knew Tatiana was right for me because we came from the same country, and I felt she truly understood my background and accomplishments within my context.

I can’t emphasize enough how incredibly important her help was during each stage. Even before working with her, she kept cheering me on when I didn’t achieve the test scores I was aiming for. I’m really happy to say that, thanks to her help, I secured interviews with 2 of my top 3 choices (HBS and MIT) and ultimately got admitted to MIT with a fellowship! All this knowing that I had low test scores for those schools.

After chatting with ~5 admin consultants, I decided to go with Tatiana after a pleasant call with Judith – who believed in my success from the get-go. My experience with other admin consultants such as SBC and Menlo (which tend to downplay your achievements and encourage you to aim lower) was not good, but Fortuna seemed really positive, which is exactly what I was looking for.

For context: I’m at consultant at a T2 consulting firm and applied to 5 M7s.

Tatiana did a fantastic job – I was confident in my writing skills and had a good sense of which stories to use, so I signed up for the 8 hr program mostly for essay revision and support. Tatiana was straightforward from the start and helped estimated how much time we would need to meet my goal of writing essays for my top 3 schools.

Tatiana’s support was instrumental in understanding what each school is looking for in an applicant and I can confidently say that the essays after multiple rounds of revision with Tatiana were indeed night and day. I also really appreciated how she did not press me for time. I heard other consultants would track closely and remind you x time was remaining – which would be an added stress as apps are due. However, Tatiana never did anything remotely of the sort. Further, I was able to utilize the lessons I learned from looking at her feedback to write essays for 2 more M7 schools.

At the end of the application stage, I was satisfied with our work together and even remarked even if I didn’t get any interviews – I was happy I was able to put my best foot forward. At the time of writing, I interviewed with 3 of the M7 schools I applied to, and am waiting for results.

Tatiana’s coaching was an invaluable asset through my application processes, helping me get into Booth, LBS and Berkeley Haas! She knows what each school is looking for, guiding me throughout the process and helping me craft my story while remaining true to my essence. Tatiana was critical in gaining admission to UVA Darden. First off, before beginning my process, I was rejected by two consulting firms and was told that I was either aiming too high or that I should consider doing a master’s that didn’t require any quantitative requirements. After meeting with Tatiana, she truly believed I had an exciting story and goals that could be leveraged to be admitted into any top business school (I even applied to GSB). Tatiana went beyond her duties as a consultant. She was a therapist, a guide, and a motivator. I´m sure that if any person is willing to put in the effort and follow Tatiana´s introspection exercises, with a clear agenda in every step of the application process, they will gain admission to a top MBA program.

As a non-traditional candidate coming from one of the over-represented backgrounds, I have the average work experience and went to the average school. I applied for the class of 2022 on my own and was rejected by all schools without an interview. After deciding to reapply with the help of an admission consultant, I did several 30min free consultations with different firms. Everyone, except for Fortuna, told me to forget about HBS/GSB. Then I started to work with Tatiana, who helped me get the interview, then waitlist at Stanford, as well as the acceptances from Kellogg and INSEAD.

This is what helped me get to this point from where I started:

1. Developing my personal narrative. Tatiana spent several 1-hour sessions on the phone with me going through my life stories since childhood in detail. She was very patient, empathetic, and inquisitive. I became comfortable with her immediately. She has a very deep understanding of human psychology and was able to understand my stories/points very quickly. This process by itself was quite therapeutic. She also took notes on everything while we speak and helped me connect all the dots at the end.
2. Leveraging my non-traditional background. While I tried to fit my work experience into the mold of business, Tatiana helped me identifying elements that are unique and attractive to schools and then amplifying those elements in my application. This really helped me stand out from a crowded applicant pool. She understands what makes an applicant special to the admission committee and her unique perspective added tons of strength to my application.
3. Career coaching. When new career opportunities presented themselves during my application, I was able to discuss everything with Tatiana and get solid advice from her. Her experience of working in a very diverse range of sectors/industries helped me identifying and prioritizing opportunities for my own career development and consequently, strengthening my application.

At the end of the process, I gained not only offers of admission but also the confidence and career advice that will help me in the long run. Throughout this journey, Tatiana was tremendously supportive and her expertise made me confident that I have put my best foot forward this time. I would recommend Tatiana with my full heart!

I connected with Tatiana less than one month prior to my application deadline, and while I do recommend start working with much more anticipation, because of the circumstances I couldn’t, and still she helped me get the job done. In just 1 month, she worked during her vacations and reviewed my materials even on Christmas Day.
She definitely understands what each school is looking for, and helps you understand which school makes sense for you and dig within your own story to really find what drives you.

I’ll start off by saying I recommend Tatiana 100%, especially if you are applying to a top tier program. Tatiana was an excellent, efficient, and insightful resource throughout the essay-writing, application, and interview prep process, and she is experienced in knowing what the top schools are looking for in candidates’ responses. Rather than stick to a specific formula for success for applicants, Tatiana invested time early on to hear my story and understand me as a person and candidate, and thus cater her approach to my needs. This created a healthy environment where I felt very comfortable identifying my areas of improvement with her and dissecting any problem areas together.

Her approach gave me the confidence to put my thoughts on paper in a coherent manner, especially during times when I struggled to verbalize or structure my thoughts, as she was able to synthesize my thoughts better than I could even after just a few conversations! Throughout the process, I felt the freedom to edit and rework my content as much as needed until I felt like my work was an accurate reflection of myself, and I felt very grateful for Tatiana’s patience and willingness to help throughout.

I worked with Tatiana recently to apply Round 2 to various MBA programs. I paid for a 2 school package but had enough material to use for 5 applications. Overall, I would highly recommend Tatiana. She is great not only at identifying key themes and insights to further develop during the essay writing process, but she is a great partner in the overall process and steadying nerves as they inevitably arise.

Tatiana excels as a listener. She probes fertile areas of your past and helps to make sense of the decisions you’ve made and the path you’ve taken. First off, I screwed up – I thought the deadlines were later than they were, and started on my applications with only a few weeks to spare. Tatiana told me the kind of work I would have to do to get my app in on time, and held me to the aggressive timetable she set. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the process and kept me honest – there is absolutely no way I could have finished it, at such high quality, without her. Second, Tatiana could have been a psychiatrist in another life. She has a wonderful ability to understand you in a very short period of time, which I found to be incredibly helpful in not only writing great essays but also really self-reflecting on why I want to go to business school. Coming from a scientific research background, I had little prior knowledge of what business schools looked for in an application and what part of my experiences to highlight. That’s when I started working with Tatiana Nemo. She has been absolutely fantastic to work with. She took the time to really understand my story and found out vital bits and pieces that I had ignored.
