Hi Mr. Aerospace Engineer, Kristen from MBA Prep School here. As a former Sloan adcom, your profile jumps right out at me! I love your stellar academic performance and STEM background, but what really catches my attention is your product responsibility from design through development. Hi Mr. Aerospace Engineer, Kristen from MBA Prep School here. As a former Sloan adcom, your profile jumps right out at me! I love your stellar academic performance and STEM background, but what really catches my attention is your product responsibility from design through development. Often an applicant with a technical background can easily get stuck focused on one cog in the wheel and not get the exposure to the big picture. Your broader perspective of the product lifecycle surely gave you opportunities to lead, work cross-departmentally, and see things from other perspectives. These would be great stories to share in your application. It also showcases that you are tip-toeing into the type of role you ultimately want post-MBA, if you are being given this level of oversight. In addition to those quantifiable impacts like increasing efficiency and reducing time spent, be sure to include how you collaborated, influenced decisions, and displayed other leadership and people skills. I definitely believe Sloan is within your reach and would be happy to provide more insight and advice. Feel free to reach out!
