Hi Mr. MBB! This is JP, Senior Consultant with The MBA Exchange. I’ve worked with a number of seniors applying to top MBA programs, and was in similar situation myself many years ago. I’ve rated your chances fairly high but there’s a big caveat: you must get help immediately and do everything you can over the next four weeks to become a credible contender. The deadlines are really near, but as other experts mentioned there’s much to be done. For example, you need to do lots of introspection and have a clear long-term career vision. On top of this, you’ll have to do some serious “ground-level research” to demonstrate to the schools why they are such a good fit …

On top of this, you’ll have to do some serious “ground-level research” to demonstrate to the schools why they are such a good fit and which resources match your aspirations. With proper guidance, this may be possible within the next few weeks, if you act now. I’d be happy to tell you more, just reach out to us via The MBA Exchange website, ask for ‘JP’ and state that you posted your profile here.
Hi Mr. MBB! This is Kate Richardson, Senior Admissions Consultant weighing in on your profile. I would give some deferred MBA programs a shot. You’ve got great GMAT and GPA stats, plus schools will value the selectivity of you earning a full ride and landing an MBB offer. That said, MBB candidates make up a substantial percentage of MBA applicants, so you need to stand out not just amongst those candidates, but in your reasons for why they should admit you now. Your story is what will make you unique, so spend time doing some deep reflection and brainstorming on what drives you and how you want to have an impact in the future. Your story is what will make you unique, so spend time doing some deep reflection and brainstorming on what drives you and how you want to have an impact in the future. If you don’t make it into a deferred program now (they are super selective), I think an MBA from a top school is still in the cards for you, and you could apply after a few years of consulting experience under your belt. Good luck!
Hi, it’s Jennifer Jackson from Stratus Admissions. The deferred admissions programs as I’m sure you know are extremely competitive right now, as schools are all fighting to lock in the best talent before they can decide to go somewhere else after they’ve worked for a few years. While they are definitely looking at your whole profile, it is imperative to have high stats, which you certainly do! (I can’t tell where you went to undergrad since you listed three schools but they’re all great!) So the high stats are step one, but I would want to know more about your club and leadership roles. How have you grown through these activities? How have they helped inform your career goals? If you’re interested in consulting both …

If you’re interested in consulting both before and after the MBA, you’ll need to explain WHY? How will that help set you up to be an entrepreneur in the tech space? Since more and more schools are offering deferred admission programs, and you have great stats, it’s a good idea to apply to several of them to see what happens. Don’t worry about being unique enough — there is just one you — but be sure to really get across who you are and why deferred admissions is the best path for you. I think with a solid set of essays you certainly have a shot! If you’re interested in a free consult, click here:
