Hi Mr. Navy Supply, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. Thank you for your service. It looks like you have a very strong profile. Hi Mr. Navy Supply, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. Thank you for your service. It looks like you have a very strong profile. While you are a bit older than the average applicant, I think the leadership experience that you will bring from your time in the Navy will be valued in any classroom. And considering you already have a JD, this is another unique perspective you can bring to the classroom. You will want to explain why now is the right time for you to get an MBA. I like to see your leadership in undergrad through your fraternity. One thing to be aware of in your applications is to not be too technical. Because both the military and often engineers can have such detailed work – make sure you are telling your story at a high enough level for a civilian to understand. Ask a friend or trusted mentor who isn’t in the military read your essays and resume to make sure they can clearly understand what you are trying to say. Your career trajectory makes sense – and I’d encourage you to think about what operational problems you’d like to solve in your future. How would you like to leave your mark in the future? What impact do you want to have? Wish you the best of luck through the process and reach out if I can answer any questions.
