Clemson’s University’s online MBA was developed to expand the school’s already established and successful MBA program by removing the physical walls of the classroom and providing all online students the opportunity to engage with the live class from anywhere. Flexibility is at the center of this degree.
Clemson OMBAs can join live class sessions through video conferencing, review the recorded live lecture later on, or even join the physical class session at their GreenvilleONE location — and they don’t have to choose one format or the other. They can mix and match formats all semester long.
The program has start dates in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. Their most recent intake held 66 OMBAs, and the total for those attending is currently 172. On average, students complete their degree in around two and a half years.
The core program requires 36 credit hours, and depending on a student’s academic background, some foundation courses might be needed. OMBAs can use their elective courses to build out focus in areas of specialization in Finance, HR, Business Analytics, International Business, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship.
“Clemson University’s MBA program is proud to offer an online MBA curriculum centered with a flexible student experience in mind. Our personalized approach allows for online students to maintain a face-to-face presence with our faculty and staff, just as if they were in person. With personal access to their professors, our number one ranked career services team, and all of our MBA events, we ensure our online MBA students are a part of the Clemson Family!” says Dr. Gregory Pickett, Associate Dean and Director of MBA.
Students enrolled in the online MBA have access to all of the same…
Students enrolled in the online MBA have access to all of the same resources and opportunities as traditional MBA students, which uniquely can include internship experiences. Students with 2 or more years of experience are not required to complete internship hours, but the others are asked to.
Almost all OMBA students are working professionals and have access to our career services and professional development coaches that are housed in the MBA program.
A favorite for Clemson OMBAs is the two-week study abroad program where they visit Oxford University, offering them a chance to live in Oxford, attend lectures, work on consulting projects with UK-based companies, and engage in cultural activities.
