The Global College Malta’s MBA is all about helping students blend what they’ve learned from their work experience with what they’ve learned at business school to become successful and ethical leaders.

The Global College Malta sits at the eastern end of the Mediterranean island of Malta – a beautiful island with a rich history of global trade, knights, megalithic temples, and of course the beloved Maltese dogs. Top industries on the island include tourism and shipping & logistics.

“The program was redesigned in 2022 to meet the requirements of an ever-changing landscape,” says Dean Chris Haslam. “We are seeking to expand into more specialized environments and continue to adjust to the new realities of multicultural education and innovation in technology.”

Students learn all of the essentials – finance, economics, strategy, innovation, people management, marketing, supply chain management and cross-cultural management – from industry leaders that are some of the best at what they do.

Currently there are 280 students in the MBA and all in all, the program is relatively new, with their first class graduating in 2016. Students can join during any of the program’s four intakes. As for the format, the program is considered full-time and spans 18 months with a total of 2,250 credit hours.

Given the island’s strategic location and rich trading history, it is fitting that they offer a specialization in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. One of the standout immersive experiences in the MBA are the industry visits, where students and teachers spend time at a company to get a behind-the-scenes look at how it operates. The school actively promotes connections between students and industry leaders, and while internships aren’t mandatory, they’re certainly an option for those who want to dive deeper into practical experience.

The Global College Malta encourages their students to participate in internal and external opportunities, like conferences and competitions.

“Global College has a great location opposite the sea and all courses are in English, which for me as an international student is essential,” says MBA Abhi Solanki. “The lecturers are super supportive and friendly. I love it when they share their personal examples, how they engage us and how they support us in their assignments.”
