Mississippi State University’s College of Business holds the title as the oldest college of business in the state of Mississippi. An MBA from Mississippi State allows MBAs to carve their own path to leadership.

Mississippi’s full-time on-campus MBA program at Mississippi State is an accelerated one-year program with a cohort-based system, so MBAs will take all of their courses with their fellow MBA students as a group.

To kick off their degree, Mississippi MBAs attend the school’s Springboard Week – an intensive professional development program for incoming MBAs held the week before classes begin, with topics ranging from career management and personal branding to etiquette and networking.

By choosing to add an extra elective, they can steer their MBA toward a specific area of study such as project management, data analytics, or marketing information systems. If MBAs are interested in another department on campus that offers graduate level courses, they may be able to create their own minor as well.

Aside from curriculum, students grow through experiential programs such as MBA+ professional development workshops, case competitions, and consulting projects for actively operating enterprises. They teach professional development that includes dinner etiquette, public speaking, and interview best practices to make them more competitive in the job market.
