SP Jain recognizes that top management positions are increasingly being offered to those who have a global education – people who have lived overseas and understand many business cultures. That’s why SP Jain’s Global MBA (GMBA) program is designed to help students develop a global mindset, learn to lead multicultural teams, and develop the skills crucial to fast-track your career growth in a challenging business environment. The program is tailored to professionals with 3+ years of work experience in a flexible 12-month full-time format. The global MBA welcomed 93 students over two intake periods in 2022. In 2004, the school established its first campus in Dubai – a city known for its large skyscrapers, man-made islands, hotels and large shopping malls. Typically, MBA students pick one of the three campuses to study at – either Singapore, Dubai or Sydney – yet for the upcoming intake of February 2023, the school is offering students the option to study 4 months in Singapore and 8 months in Dubai as part of a new “twin-city” format. Uniquely, the Sydney campus was located in the center of Olympic Park, host to the 2000 Olympic Games but has recently moved outside the park, just a short walk away. Regardless of the campus they choose, SP Jain MBAs will graduate with an Australian degree. Each campus is located in a hub that offers students opportunities to experience diverse cultures, study international business practices, network with local business leaders, and take part in real-life projects. As for the curriculum, the goal of the program is to shape leaders well-versed in business, management, and emerging technology – and equip them with the necessary skills to work in teams, solve problems and effectively make decisions, think critically, foster creativity and innovation, and gain intercultural competence. The courses are taught by international faculty drawn from institutions like Harvard, Duke, Cambridge and Oxford. The core curriculum accounts for 23 credits, and 7 electives account for 7. The industry project is mandatory, taken in each of the three terms, and accounts for 6 more credits: totaling 36. Outside of required curriculum, MBA partake in students’ clubs, conferences and business-professional competitions. SP Jain MBAs have access to the innovation centers such as I2E – where students can watch their ideas come to life, from product/service development to disruption, design thinking, innovation management, digital growth, new ideas incubation, new venture development, and growth strategy and leadership.
