About the Program
Designed for college graduates with strong quantitative backgrounds, this 10-month master’s program provides training in analytics and communication, all within a specific context—finance, marketing, forensics, or strategy. Students prepare for a career in data-based problem solving by learning at the intersection of business and analytics. Along with a foundation in data analysis, attendees gain expertise in a specific function and a robust set of soft skills, becoming an analyst who can move the whole team forward.
While the core foundation of the Master of Quantitative Management: Business Analytics is in data analysis that will apply to any industry, students apply for a functional track in either Finance, Marketing, Forensics, or Strategy as part of the admissions process.
Students learn how to leverage analytics to achieve business goals. Students learn tools, skills, and business context tailored to their career focus, while taking electives to broaden their skill set. The team-based learning environment offers intense opportunities for collaboration. Students learn how to draw out the strengths of their team members to achieve a common goal, refining the interpersonal skills needed to be successful in the workplace.
Program Format and Schedule
Over five six-week terms, students complete up to 19 courses and a Capstone project. During the first term, students take foundational courses before moving into their tracks. During the remaining four terms, they will complete courses in their selected function, and choose 4 of 18 elective courses (finance track only allows for 3 electives) spanning the MQM program. Each class typically meets twice a week for two hours and fifteen minutes.
