About the Program

Temple University’s Fox School of Business Master of Health Administration (MHA) is designed for working healthcare professionals with seven or more years of substantive work and supervisory experience. This degree program develops health sector-specific leadership expertise needed for the next generation of leaders in the fastest-growing industry in the United States economy.

This is part time program is ideal for mid-level health sector managers, physician and nurse managers, consultants needing healthcare-specific industry knowledge, and other healthcare professionals seeking to grow into leadership roles. It’s not an MBA: it’s the health sector-specific leadership expertise employers told us they’re looking for in the next generation of leaders.

Program Format and Schedule

Students enrolled in the Fox Master of Health Administration complete 33 credits on a part-time basis, earning a degree in as few as 27 months. There are eight key areas of business competency training, including: implementation management, business reasoning, financial acuity, opportunity realization, influential communication, ethical management, cross-cultural effectiveness and team leadership. Students develop a personal learning path tailored to their skills by working one-on-one with faculty, peers, executive mentors and professional development counselors. The program offers valuable, hands-on health sector experience through challenging collaborations with health system partners and a capstone project in which students apply and demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
