Best Career Growth At BCG, Bain & McKinsey

Three of the world’s largest MBA recruiters top a new list of the companies with the greatest career opportunities. Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Co., and McKinsey & Co. are number one, two and three in the new survey published today (Sept. 2) by Glassdoor.com.

The prestige consulting firms left every other big MBA player in the dust, especially many of the big financial firms. The only financial player to make the top 25 list was Goldman Sachs, which placed tenth overall. Consulting firms seemed to do exceptionally well in the ranking. In addition to the top three, KPMG, PriceWaterhouse Coopers, and Deloitte all made the list as well.

The ranking is based on employee feedback about career opportunities in company reviews on Glassdoor. The study period covered the 12 months ended July 15, 2011. More than 150,000 people shared how satisfied they are with opportunities for professional growth and career advancement at their company.

Some 13 of the top 25 companies singled out by Glassdoor are significant recruiters of MBA talent.
