Georgetown reported the largest numbers of students from the tech and media fields in this year’s class. Moreover, in Harvard’s entering class, 25% have worked for a startup and 16% have started a business. Additionally, 30% know a programming language and 25% have a blog or Twitter feed. MBA programs also seem to be making a push to increase veteran and military students. Vanderbilt has put a specific emphasis on recruiting and increasing military enrollment—making up 24% of their EMBA program and 10% of the full-time MBA. Harvard’s class has 8% who have served in the armed forces for any country. Columbia has 14 students with military backgrounds, closely following last year’s record number of 15.
