Apply To A Top-Five Strategy Firm And Get Ahead Of The Curve

Accenture Strategy is one of the leading strategy consulting firms on the planet, and our internships and FTE roles can help you get to your final career destination faster than anyone else. This is because we offer MBA students a wealth of development opportunities, including extensive training, valuable business exposure and experience in a choice of different industries.

Put simply, we want to help you get the most out of your MBA and help you achieve your career goals.

A top tier strategy firm backed by a leading professional services company

Our numbers say it all. We have more than 8,700 strategy consultants working with 1,700 clients around the world, generating more than $2 billion in annual revenues. We’re a top five strategy firm in our own right, backed up by the resources of Accenture, one of the world’s leading professional services companies with clients including more than 80% of Fortune 500 companies.

Accenture provides a range of solutions across strategy, consulting, digital, technology, and operations.  With over 375,000 employees working with clients in 120 countries, Accenture has been recognized as one of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies for 14 consecutive years.

We continue to make significant investment to grow Accenture Strategy.  Over the past three years, we’ve acquired strategy firms that specialize in areas such as energy, retail, competitiveness, and digital. We’re also investing in growing our number of MBA students. We’re increasing our 2016 intake by 10% in North America. And of the 175 first-year MBA interns that we accepted this summer, 70-80% will receive job offers from Accenture Strategy.

What impact will this have on your career?

Accenture Strategy is committed to investing in your development.  With us, you will be stretched in all directions. You will grow further and faster than you thought possible. You will find yourself learning from leaders, colleagues and clients as well as benefiting from formal training such as our global Strategy Colleges where you will build up your skills across core strategy, digital strategy, and leading strategy teams.

And when you’re ready, you will be working with the world’s top organizations on their next generation strategies. Accenture Strategy provides digital strategy to nearly every industry on the planet. You will find our work drives real impact in what clients do and how they do it. Helping them compete in spaces they never dreampt of. And to prepare for competitors they don’t yet know exist.

We have a vast pool of expertise that we can tap into, from digital marketing to software engineering. Sharing and leveraging this knowledge allows us to execute ideas far quicker than any other strategy firm, meaning we deliver on our promise of delivering high performance every time.

And as Mirko Martich, Managing Director in our Retail practice points out, “If you are looking at the proper mix of breadth of capabilities, depth of capabilities from board level strategy all the way down to implementation and outsourcing, and then being able to do that with the appropriate digital context. There’s really only one firm that can do that.

All of which means that you’ll be involved in a broader range of work with your clients, and develop stronger and better relationships.  You’ll be exposed to a wider mix of functional and operational business areas, especially digital and technology. And you will be in a better position to develop the skills and expertise you need, regardless of your career destination.

Our culture

Our vibrant culture is just one of the things that sets Accenture Strategy apart from other firms. We have a non-hierarchical, practical, and collegial culture. We provide a collaborative and supportive environment to work in, with training and mentoring programs. Our culture emphasizes a strong team spirit. Individually we’re smart, but together we’re even smarter.

It’s not about what school you went to but about your ability to get the job done. We are strategists, but we’re also digitally savvy and practical. We like to roll our sleeves up and be proactive rather than just theorize. This attitude and energy is what we’re looking for in our new joiners too.

As Jessica Smith, Strategy Manager in our Communications, Media & Technology practice, explains, “Based on our loose hierarchy, you’re constantly pushed to do more once you’re ready for it. It’s rare to feel “comfortable” in your role, which is a great thing for overall development.

A commitment to diversity

The diversity of our people is part of what makes Accenture exceptional. We recognize that each person has unique strengths. And by embracing those strengths, we all deliver high performance – together.

We’re committed to gender equality from the top down — we want more women in our workforce (by 2017, at least 40 percent of our new hires will be women). And through our global women’s theme – Defining success. Your way. – we strive to provide a high-energy environment and culture where our women can thrive and define their own personal approaches to success.

We’re widely recognized for the work we are doing to promote and improve diversity and inclusion, and proud of the awards and accreditations we have earned, including:

Training and development

Your training and development is fundamental to your success, and ours. As a new MBA consultant, you’ll benefit from an intensive training program at Strategy College, where we’ll help you acclimatize into your new role, as you develop core skills in strategy, digital strategy and leading strategy teams.

We believe that constant learning is essential to building the right skills, which is why we make learning – from basic skills to industry-specific content—available to all our people. Last year, we invested $841 million in training and development, which means we provided over 40 hours of learning and development to every employee in the business.

You’ll benefit from on and off-the-job training and learning, with over 50 connected classrooms that enable Accenture people to participate together in interactive and collaborative classroom experiences (we will double the number of classrooms to 100 by the end of FY2016). We have over 24,000 online courses and 900 learning boards, a number of learning centers globally, and over 100 professional learning communities.

Of course, because professional development is at the heart of what we do, we’ll always be looking for new ways to learn and harvest innovative ideas. And, since you’ll be working with the world’s leading companies, you’ll learn on the job every day, from client work, project team members, mentors and others.
