Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: The biggest accomplishment in my career so far is that my team successfully implemented a roll out project for 14 entities within 10 months. Within the tight schedule, I needed to fulfill the client’s complex business requirements and mentor the young members to achieve the project goals. I frequently flew among customers’ branches for managing, implementing and mentoring. Nevertheless, these efforts ended with a sense of accomplishment because of the appreciation received from both team members and customers.

Looking back on your experience, what advice would you give to future business school applicants? Begin to think of your stories as early as possible and pick several of them that can best demonstrate your accomplishment and personality. Interpret the stories using STAR principle (Situation, Task, Action, Result). These stories are treasures for your application. Polish these treasures to be concise and even attractive. They can be used in essays, utilized as guidelines to the recommenders, and also be applied in interviews to reveal your uniqueness.

What led you to choose this program for your full-time MBA? First, the technology advances of Tepper were attractive to me. I would like to become a digital consultant and feel obliged to know as much cutting-edge technology as possible. Tepper and Carnegie Mellon provide diversified resources for MBA students to be prepared for the changing era. On the other hand, during my contacts with the Tepper Admissions team, I felt strongly that everyone in Tepper, such as people from the Career Opportunity Center and the mentors, would put their heart into helping the students to achieve their goals. This is exactly the environment I would like to be involved in to build my next layer.

Tell us about your dream job or dream employer at this point in your life? My dream job is to become a digital consultant, and eventually guide C-level people to build a digital mindset that will institutionalize cross-functional collaboration, flatten hierarchies, and build environments that encourage the generation of new ideas. I would like to become the person who will break the barriers and win more commitment from stakeholders on digital changes.

What would you like your business school peers to say about you after you graduate from this program? I would like them to remember me as a really helpful and supportive person. I hope they enjoy the time spent with me. And I also would like them to say that I will be their lifetime friend.
