“There’s an expectation that when you come to a business school that it is going to be very rigorous and competitive almost in a negative way,” says Katherine McVey, associate director of graduate programs for Babson College.  “Babson is not competitive. We are weirdly excited about each other. We are very collaborative. Our students are competitive against themselves but not with each other. They come in ready to go which is great. You want to have that inspiration and drive and you want to move it forward, but you also want them to feel as if they are part of something larger. Babson’s alumni community is very strong and very active and I think that is a testament to the community you feel once you get there.”
