Audience Business School Promotes Vice Dean To Dean

Christophe Germain, new dean of Audencia Business School

Audencia Business School in France announced today (April 24) that long-time veteran administrator Christophe Germain has been named dean of the school after a two-year stint in building out the school’s activities in China.

Germain, who has been dean of Shenzhen Audencia Business School since 2016, will take up his new duties after his appointment is ratified at the next meeting of the school’s board of directors.

For Germain, it will be somewhat of a return trip. He also served as acting dean of Audencia from January 2016 to September of 2016. He has also served as vice dean of the school from 2010 to 2015 and from 2016 to 2018. Germain had been academic director at Audencia from 2007 to 2015. He was deputy director of the Grande Ecole Programme from 2002 to 2007.

In the latest Poets&Quants‘ ranking of international business schools, Audencia rose 13 positions to finish 56th from 69th a year earlier.

“After his successes in the development of Shenzhen Audencia Business School (SABS) in China as well as in his position of Vice-Dean for more than 10 years, entrusting Christophe Germain with full powers to achieve the school’s next objectives is an obvious choice,” said Board Chairman Laurent Métral in a statement. He benefits from a strong legitimacy both academically and pedagogically, in France and abroad, internally and externally. This will enable him to pursue the dynamic school’s development while identifying new levers for growth.”
