The University of Virginia’s Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) is a one-year program designed for working professionals. Taught by top-ranked faculty from UVA’s Darden School of Business and McIntire School of Commerce, students learn technical skills for analytics along with crucial business skills, including strategy, management, and communication. A project-oriented focus lets students apply their knowledge through real-world cases and simulations with corporate partners. MSBA is open to a wide variety of perspectives and professional backgrounds. There is no prerequisite coursework required for admission.

UVA’s Master of Science in Business Analytics is offered in partnership by the Darden School of Business and the McIntire School of Commerce. The 12-month MSBA program is designed to limit students’ time away from the office. It is delivered both online and in-person at the UVA Darden DC Metro facility in Arlington, Virginia, and UVA’s Main Grounds in Charlottesville, Virginia. The cohort-based format features a combination of 10 weekend residencies, mid-week online classes and team meetings, and self-paced distance learning.
The program starts and finishes with four-day residencies (Thursday-Sunday) on Grounds in Charlottesville, Virginia. During these two weekends, accommodations will be provided for students. The remaining eight residencies are two days (Saturday-Sunday), once a month, and take place at UVA Darden’s state-of-the-art facilities, located in the metro-accessible Rosslyn area of Arlington, Virginia.
