Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: Working across several paid media platforms, I have been leading major campaigns across more than 20 countries in EMEA with my team at Nike. Gaining my colleagues’ trust is without a doubt one of my biggest accomplishments.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as a graduate student: My biggest accomplishment as a graduate student was being elected as the MSc in Marketing Management Class Representative. I feel honored to have been chosen by my classmates and have created a great relationship with everyone in this program. I am also proud of the work we have been able to accomplish with every faculty member during the start of the pandemic; we all managed to go through this unstable period and continue our program in the best way possible.

What was the key factor that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Esade was undeniably my first choice because of its value and ambition. This school is not simply looking for students with the best grades coming from the best bachelor programs; they are looking for passionate and ambitious individuals, students who care about the world they are living in, and those who want to make an impact on our society. Whether you want to fight for the environment, empower women in the workplace, or bring sports to every kid around the world, Esade is a place where people gather together and support each other to make a difference. I’ve always wanted to work in the sports industry to change people’s lives and Esade is where I found similar students and brilliant professionals to be inspired and encouraged by.

What led you to choose a Master’s in Marketing over an MBA? I chose this program for two main reasons: I believed that my BBA was quite general, and I wanted to have a specialized master’s degree. Also, an MBA required several years of experience and I didn’t want to work more than a year as I felt like I needed more theory to advance in my career.

What has been your favorite course and how has it helped you in your career? My favorite course from Esade has been Brand Management with Professor Oriol Iglesias. This class provided an in-depth overview of an entire brand marketing process. We learned theory and had the opportunity to work with a company for a consulting project. This experience allowed me to work with incredible professionals and teammates, but also in an industry that I am passionate about: Euroleague Basketball.

What role did your school play in helping you to land your first job out of the program? The Esade Career Service helped me throughout my job-hunting process tremendously. Advisors are always available to answer your questions, check your resume or cover letter, and put you in contact with relevant alumni that have similar interests and professional careers. After applying to different sport companies, one advisor who was an expert in this industry helped me go through the application process, do mock interviews, and prepare business cases.

How did your classmates enhance the value of your business school experience? My classmates are the more valuable part of my experience at Esade. The MSc in Marketing Management Class of 2020 was an incredible group of passionate, ambitious, curious, hard-working and inspiring people. From the start, a very positive and supportive vibe was already established in the class and we were all supporting each other throughout our classes. We were all very different and came from places all over the world, yet we all had something original and special to bring. It was truly magical to be part of this group.

Who was your favorite faculty member and how did this person enrich your learning? My favorite faculty member has to be Isa Moll, the Academic Director of the MSc in Marketing Management. Isa is one of the most hard-working and positive people I have ever met. Seeing how much effort she was putting into our program and how committed she was to give us the best experience possible was truly inspiring. Working alongside her has been an honor for me, and I would aspire to impact people’s life positively as much as she has been impacting the life of every marketing student who crossed her path.

What is your best advice to an applicant hoping to get into your school’s graduate Master’s program? Showcase what makes you special. Don’t be afraid to express yourself and your ambition to make this world a better place. Be unapologetically yourself.

What was your best memory from your Master’s program? I will always cherish my memories with my classmates, and especially our Study Tour in Los Angeles. For an entire week, we lived together in the same hotel, studied in one of the best universities in the United States, we visited major companies and met many successful professionals. We also traveled around the city together, tasted as much food as possible, and hiked to the Hollywood sign. I will always be thankful for these incredible people that I can call friends for life.
