Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of IIM Bangalore’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? A refined case-driven pedagogy, emphasizing learnings from real world scenarios, led me to choose IIM B’s MBA program. This is important to me because this approach helps me to relate better and enhances my understanding of the subject.

What has been your favourite course or extracurricular activity at IIM Bangalore? What has been the most important lesson that you have learned from it? My favorite course is Business analytics and intelligence. Data can mostly answer every question one has, you just need to learn how to read it.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: So far, my biggest accomplishment has been successfully handling an emergency onboard an Oil Tanker ship which led to safeguarding the lives of my fellow seafarers and the ship.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: So far, as an MBA student my biggest accomplishment has been to learn to unlearn. This has helped me tremendously in grasping things in a much better fashion and looking things from different perspectives.

What is your class’s favourite hangout away from school? Why do you gather there? My Class’s favorite hangout place would be a restro-bar just across the street from the campus. We generally gather there post our end-terms to celebrate our progress and the spirit of our entire batch.

What led you to pursue an MBA at this point and what do you hope to do after graduation? The quest for learning and understanding the factors that contribute towards a successful business led me to peruse an MBA. Post-MBA, I wish to further my career as an operations professional.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into IIM Bangalore? My advice to the potential applicants would be to be confident about what they have done in their previous role/function and how will they make good use of the learnings form the MBA to further their career.
