Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of IIM Lucknow’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I chose IIM Lucknow’s MBA program for its distinctive curriculum that seamlessly integrates theory and practical application. The program’s emphasis on case studies, conceptual theories, and projects bridged the gap between classroom learning and real-world business challenges. The campus engagement opportunities that the institute offers through guest lectures, workshops, and networking events has deepened my understanding of latest business trends. IIM Lucknow’s holistic approach ensures that I wouldn’t just earn a degree but undergo a transformative experience that has comprehensively prepared me for success in the dynamic business landscape.

What has been your favorite course or extracurricular activity at IIM Lucknow? What has been the most important lesson that you have learned from it? We have just completed our Term-2 and there are many courses that I will be exploring ahead, but my personal favorites have been the Financial Management and Marketing courses. With a foundational understanding of finance from my prior work experience, the Financial Management course took my existing knowledge to a new level, immersing me in resource allocation, investment decision-making, and holistic understanding of an organization’s financial health. On the other hand, the Marketing course helped me understand consumer behavior, market dynamics, and effective strategy formulation. It guided me in crafting compelling value propositions adaptable to various market segments, reinforcing the importance of innovation, and staying attuned to evolving trends.

I am also a member of the student Placement Committee. Working vigorously to engage with industries has taught me the importance of effective persuasion. Using tailored communication along with adeptly balancing stakeholder interests, this experience underscored that successful outcomes arise not just from strong negotiation skills, but from the ability to align diverse perspectives through compelling, customized communication.

What excites you the most about International Immersion? I am excited to be visiting Paris, Brussels, and Geneva as part of my international immersion program. I am eager to immerse myself in diverse cultural and business environments. Given IÉSEG’s academic prowess and Geneva’s stature as an international hub, I look forward to gaining insights into distinct business approaches, economic intricacies, and local socio-cultural nuances. This exposure will enhance my global perspective, refining my adaptability to multifaceted international business settings.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: With an experience in diverse roles from analysis, banking, sales and marketing to consulting, I have worked with clients spanning from rural India to international giants. One of my most significant accomplishments was leading a cross-functional team to develop a new customer onboarding process. Clients often have a complex set of financial needs and expectations. We had to navigate the cultural differences and align leadership expectations to provide a comprehensive solution that not only addressed the client’s immediate concerns, but also built a strong foundation for a long-term relationship.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: My most significant MBA accomplishment is mastering the art of balancing academic rigor with high-pressure deadlines. I juggled complex coursework while meeting demanding project timelines, understanding the importance of adaptability and time management skills.

What do you hope to do after graduation? After graduation, I aspire to pursue a career in finance. I am eager for roles that encompass investment analysis, risk management, and financial strategy development. I am naturally driven to understand the intricacies of global markets, and I envision myself facilitating informed decisions that optimize financial performance and drive growth.
