When you think of Notre Dame, what are the first things that come to mind? How have your experiences with the Mendoza program thus far reinforced or upended these early impressions? When I think of Notre Dame, I think of a university committed to service. I think of a university dedicated to growing and embracing community and strong relationships across the globe. I think of a university that asks more of you than to just be a good student, Notre Dame challenges you to be a better person. My experience here thus far has only reinforced these impressions.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of the Mendoza MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? One key aspect of the curriculum that led to me selecting Notre Dame over other business schools was the opportunity to potentially take AIM (Applied Investment Management). I am very drawn to any opportunity that allows for me to gain practical experience managing a live investment portfolio and I believe Notre Dame has built out a program that’s unlike any other in this area.

What course, club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Mendoza? As a finance nerd, I can’t help but say the Intro to Finance course has been my favorite thus far. I think there is incredible value in understanding the building blocks of finance for everyone, finance majors or not, and Professor Battalio made the class fun and engaging.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: The biggest accomplishment of my career thus far was being selected for an Air Force program that has allowed me to pursue my MBA here at Notre Dame while still serving as an active-duty Air Force Officer.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far? I was elected as a first-year representative for the MBA class of 2025 which has given me an awesome platform to try and give back to my class and the MBA program as a whole.

Mendoza is known as a purpose-driven MBA program that asks students to “Grow the good in business.” What is your mission and how has Mendoza been helping you realize it? I’m a proud Air Force officer and dedicated leader, adamant on setting the tone through an unmatched work ethic. I’m constantly seeking to become the best version of myself while bringing others with me. Mendoza College of Business helps me realize this mission and recommit to it every day by surrounding me with exceptional individuals who are dedicated to setting the standard and acting with integrity in all they do. Mendoza operates with a “people first” mentality and finds a way to drive home the importance of upholding your values. There is something impeccably important about immersing yourself in an atmosphere where people don’t just ask you to be a capable leader, but an ethical one as well.

What has been your best memory as an MBA so far? The people. This ranges from the amazing people I’ve met in my MBA cohort, to the faculty who go above and beyond to serve us, all the way to the many alumni who go out of their way to give back to us as students. The ND community is unbelievable.
