I designed the house to have a full-fledged vegetable and fruit garden with access to clean filtered water along with ample solar energy. I also added high walls with security features for creative zombies. All this is environmentally sustainable and easy enough for my grandparents to use. Undergraduate School and Major: Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Civil Engineering Most Recent Employer and Job Title: EY, Consultant When you think of Notre Dame, what are the first things that come to mind? How have your experiences with the Mendoza program thus far reinforced or upended these early impressions? Notre Dame gives me a sense of community. The faculty, staff and fellow students are all very welcoming. They embrace you for the person you are and empower you to be better. One such instance where I was able to experience this first hand was during the initial days of coming to the USA as an international student. The staff put together information sessions to make the transition easier and the students supported each other by helping with grocery runs. There was always someone you could reach out to for help. Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of the Mendoza MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Mendoza’s motto is ‘Grow the Good in Business.’ This was one of the first things that stood about Mendoza when I was applying to business schools. Giving back to the community is important to me and at Mendoza there is a lot of emphasis on community. The Business on the Frontlines program is the flagship course under the consulting pathway. The program sends a group of students on a domestic/international engagement where you work with organizations to solve real world problems making the world a better place. You are not only applying your skills and experience to solve a problem but also are able to understand the kind of impact it creates. This provides a 360° view of your capabilities, and it enables one to do better. I like the program specifically because it provides me insight with a global perspective. What course, club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Mendoza? Football Game Tailgates! Tailgates provide the opportunity to get together for an event that the entire university loves. We have tailgates organized by different MBA clubs during game days. One specific tailgate I enjoyed was the International Students tailgate where MBA students got food and beverages that are native to their countries. It was a wonderful experience getting to understand different cultures and food. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My biggest accomplishment during my career is the time when I was able to increase revenue and stave off potential COVID-19 induced layoffs by developing a digital asset management framework. During COVID-19, I took the initiative to develop a framework that can cater to a wide range of clients, with the purpose of identifying gaps related to font usage. My director realized the potential of the framework and approved my request to apply it to one of our clients. The framework successfully captured a gap of around $2 million in the initial discovery phase. Due to the success of the engagement, I trained several associates to implement the framework after landing multiple new clients, including a global financial technology services firm. Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far? My biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far has been organizing the Annual Mendoza Diwali Celebration with the Asian Club and the International Students of the MBA club (ISMBA). The event was celebrated by over 140 people across 2 venues. It was wonderful to see the entire cohort show up and embrace the event with so much enthusiasm. We had choreographed dance performances by the students, trivia and a lot of Indian food. Mendoza is known as a purpose-driven MBA program that asks students to “Grow the good in business.” What is your mission and how has Mendoza been helping you realize it? My mission is to leverage my expertise to drive sustainable strategies, foster collaboration, and champion impactful social initiatives within the corporate landscape. Mendoza equips me with comprehensive knowledge, refined leadership skills, and a valuable network of fellow ‘Domers.’ I intend on immersing myself in diverse coursework, engaging in collaborating projects and, leverage the mentorship of experienced faculty to enable myself to implement sustainable practices and foster positive change. What has been your best memory as an MBA so far? My best memory as an MBA student at Mendoza is when Notre Dame beat USC during the football game, and we rushed the field. The students of Mendoza have the ultimate dedication for our football team, and everyone attends the game with high expectations. It was wonderful to be part of the stadium’s history. We ended the win by singing the Alma Mater on the gridiron. DON’T MISS: MEET NOTRE DAME MENDOZA’S MBA CLASS OF 2025
