The case method challenges me to distill and articulate my thoughts clearly. To me, this is a superpower. Aside from classmates and cases, what part of the school’s MBA programming led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I chose Ivey for the exceptional character of its alumni. It includes leaders like Prem Watsa, who blend elegance, excellence and integrity that I deeply admire. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: It was winning the ‘Impact Award’ at TouchBistro POS for revitalizing the struggling sales department. This included authoring a 60-page SMS playbook and leading weekly improv comedy sessions in the office to enhance company culture, ultimately driving and increase of 30% to the team’s overall revenue. Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: Balancing academics, building lifelong friendships, and soon competing in varsity tennis at Western – I can’t choose just one! What has been your most memorable experience as an Ivey MBA thus far? Learning about the 2002 accounting scandal of WorldCom and then having the whistleblower herself, Cynthia Cooper, visit our class the next. Where is your favorite hang-out in London (Ontario)? Why do you (or your classmates) gravitate there? The Ivey Gym. There’s no better way to connect with classmates than through a shared passion for lifting heavy things. What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? I’m excited to begin a career in management consulting.
