Undergraduate School and Major: Rutgers University, Mechanical Engineering Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Kiewit, Project Engineer Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of the Mays MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I chose the Full-Time MBA Program at Mays because it is one of the few schools that offers a combined degree with Analytics, providing skills in business strategy and data analysis. Additionally, Mays boasts an incredibly strong alumni network, and some of the strongest connections to the energy industry, which is essential for my career goals. These elements combined made A&M the ideal place for me to achieve my professional goals. What course, club or activity excites you the most at Texas A&M Mays? I am excited about joining the Aggies in Business club. AiB offers the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to business challenges through consulting projects. The experience gained by partnering with companies to develop solutions piques my interest in problem-solving and my desire to gain experience in consulting. Looking at your recruitment, what was the moment when you realized that Mays was the right graduate program for you? Why? I realized A&M was the right choice during the MBA Welcome Weekend, where I had the opportunity to meet many of the faculty and current students. Their enthusiasm for the program and the strong sense of community were obvious. It was clear that Mays offers a supportive environment that promotes both professional and personal growth in addition to the typical classroom rigor. Also, I realized that weekend that the small class sizes offered at Mays would allow for more meaningful interactions, connections, and experiences in the MBA program. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: It’s difficult to pinpoint one single accomplishment as solely my work, but I take great pride in contributing to numerous green energy projects. Recently, I was chosen to assist with the construction of the first offshore substation built in the U.S. Additionally, I’ve led teams on solar and hydroelectric projects. These experiences have affirmed and increased my project management skills while also building on my interest in advancing sustainable energy. This contrast—an analytical mind paired with a creative spirit—allows me to bring fresh perspectives to any project. I enjoy tackling challenges that require both a structured approach and out-of-the-box thinking, which will add value to team projects and energize and inspire my classmates. My goal is to inspire and be inspired, continually pushing the boundaries. Looking ahead two years, what would make your MBA experience successful? For me, a successful MBA experience at Mays means not just mastering business strategy and analytics but also creating strong industry connections. I plan to take on leadership roles within student organizations and engage in projects that have a real-world impact. Ultimately, securing a role in an analytical or data-driven position in the energy or services sector is a key goal.
