In the second half of the year, you will be completing an Academy devoted to areas like Marketing, Finance, Operations, Digital Enterprises and more. Which Academy interests you the most and why? I am most interested in the Consulting Academy. My interest for this academy stems from their unwavering demand for rigor. I enjoy high pressure, high stakes environments and the Consulting Academy fit that mold.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Indiana Kelley’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Every faculty member I met had astounding pedigrees and a love of teaching students. Getting my MBA is a decision I did not take lightly; the faculty at Indiana, specifically, gave me confidence that my time would be put to good use.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Indiana Kelley? Any class related to the intersection of business and Artificial Intelligence tech. My role at Twitch was impacted by layoffs as a result of AI technology, so understanding the state-of-affairs of AI and its benefits while minimizing the effects of job displacement is a newfound passion of mine.

Looking at your recruitment, what was the moment when you realized Indiana Kelley was the right program for you? Why? Kelley was always the right program for me. I relished the opportunity to come back to smalltown Bloomington where I left off my academic career and where I would be able to really focus on my academics and networking without the distractions of a big city. Plus, receiving a business degree from Kelley — the college that didn’t accept me as an undergrad — felt too serendipitous to pass up.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: While at Twitch, I signed a content license agreement with my childhood hero, the World of Warcraft streamer, Towelliee.

What is your unique quality that will enable you to make a big contribution to the Class of 2026? Why? My high EQ. Being a leader of any business requires a strong grasp of business concepts from high-level economics to managerial expertise. However, an often overlooked aspect of being a leader – and one that I believe I’ve begun to hone — is the ability to lead with emotion. At the end of the day, the decisions you make and the comms you put out will have far-reaching, direct impact to the people at your company. A level of emotional foresight is crucial to driving intended results.
