I’m your host, Kristy Bleizeffer, and I’ll be highlighting the most important P&Q stories you might have missed. So, let’s get to it. No. 1: The Most Disruptive Business School Startups Of 2024 What inspires someone to become an entrepreneur? Do they hope to “put a dent in the universe” like Steve Jobs? Do they picture serving neglected consumers and applying groundbreaking models like Sam Walton? Are they consumed by the impulse to raise quality and reduce costs like Henry Ford? This week, Poets&Quants highlights 29 promising startups created by undergraduate business students from around the country. We sought startups with the potential to become game-changing forces in their respective industries. In many cases, they have evolved beyond dorm room concepts and laboratory prototypes to highly-funded enterprises. You can read about all of them now, from our homepage. No. 2: Poets&Quants’ Annual New Year’s Predictions From Business School Thought Leaders What does the future hold? No one really knows. But there is such a thing as an educated guess — and who better to make one than a host of PhDs, the brightest minds in business education? This annual feature highlights the business education predictions from the leaders of the world’s leading business schools. If you’re entering this world, already in it, or contemplating applying to business school, you’ll find lots to ponder — and plenty to discuss next time you’re in a room with a thought leader or two and need an ice breaker. You can find it on our homepage. No. 3: The Best Online MBA Programs In The U.S. For 2025 A new school sits atop Poets&Quants’ ranking of the best online MBA programs in the United States. University of Texas at Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management rose two spots from No. 3 in last year’s ranking, topping our list for the first time since we began the exercise. The move caps a rather dramatic four-year upward trajectory for the school after it debuted at No. 10 on our first online MBA ranking in 2019. You can see all the schools that made the top 10, as well as the full ranking, in our rankings tab.
