Undergraduate School and Major: Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal – Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Cummins Turbo Technologies – Factory Medical Officer Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of ISB’s MBA programming that led you to choose this school, and why was it so important to you?: One of the most profound reasons I chose ISB is the exceptional faculty. Each professor brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine commitment to student growth, creating a learning environment that’s both intellectually rigorous and deeply inspiring. Their blend of global experience and personal dedication is truly unique; they don’t merely impart knowledge, but push you to discover your potential and aspirations. This level of guidance, coupled with the opportunity to receive such a high-calibre education at a fraction of the cost of international programs, makes my experience at ISB both rewarding and transformative. What has been your favourite course or extracurricular activity at ISB? What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned from it? Leading Self and Teams with Professor Hemant Kakkar has been an eye-opener. I went in expecting leadership theories, but I found myself on a journey of self-discovery. Realizing how deeply our biases shape our decisions was like turning on a light in a dark room. This course taught me that leadership is as much about understanding yourself as it is about inspiring others. I carry those lessons with me in every interaction, hoping to be a more thoughtful and self-aware leader. What makes Hyderabad such a great place to earn your MBA? Hyderabad’s been a pleasant surprise in so many ways! The weather here has a charm to it, like a reassuring backdrop to all the fast-paced learning and growth. And knowing that this city is a thriving healthcare hub makes it feel like I’m in the right place to build something meaningful. Hyderabad has made ISB not just a school experience, but a place where I feel rooted in my industry’s future. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far. One moment that still resonates deeply with me is when I saved someone’s life with CPR. I won’t go into the details, but it’s a memory that’s shaped me. Holding someone’s life in your hands is intense, but it’s also grounding. It taught me that even under the most intense pressure, we have to trust in our abilities. That moment has stayed with me as a reminder that we are often capable of far more than we realize. Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: Becoming the Vice President of the Healthcare Club is an accomplishment I hold close. Building a network of incredible people, both in and outside the healthcare field, has broadened my perspective in ways I never anticipated. I came into ISB with barely any background in finance, and now I can confidently navigate balance sheets. It has been a journey of growth, and each step feels like a celebration of how far I’ve come. What is your class’s favourite hangout away from school? Why do you gather there? The Rec Center is our little sanctuary. There’s a sense of camaraderie there, with everyone unwinding and sharing their love for sports. For me, it’s the badminton court that calls me back. Being there with classmates who share my passion for the game is more than a pastime – it’s a place where we all let down our guard and just connect. What do you hope to do after graduation?: After graduation, I hope to step into healthcare consulting or a role within the pharmaceutical industry. My background as a doctor draws me toward healthcare, but it’s more than that. I genuinely believe that healthcare in India is on the brink of a major transformation, and I want to be part of that journey. It’s exciting to think about what’s possible and to know that, in some small way, I could help make a difference in the lives of countless people.
