My mission is to improve health equity, driving to promote high quality outcomes for all people regardless of their background. My MBA at Yale SOM will help me to fulfill that mission in three ways: 1) connecting me with likeminded classmates; 2) by engaging me in rich coursework that deepens my knowledge of business and health policy and enables me to be a stronger leader in this space; and 3) providing me with valuable experience through club involvement. Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Yale SOM’s MBA curriculum or programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? A large reason why I chose Yale SOM is its focus on business and society. My primary goal in life is to have a social impact that can help make the world a better place. I believe Yale SOM will better equip me to do that and introduce me to classmates who have similar goals. What course, club, or activity excites you the most at Yale SOM? Long term, I am interested in the healthcare space, particularly being involved in leadership at a hospital or a digital health startup. What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Yale SOM’s MBA program? I encourage potential applicants to take time to self-reflect and truly understand what they are hoping to get out of their MBA. Doing so will not only enrich their application but enable them to take fuller advantage of the MBA once it has begun, choosing the experiences that best fit their motivations.
