The city’s culinary scene is equally exciting, with diverse options catering to all tastes, even late into the night. Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Vanderbilt Owen’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? In my conversations with Vanderbilt Owen MBA students, I was struck by their warmth and genuine enthusiasm for the program. I was particularly drawn to the unique “mod” system, which perfectly aligns with my passion for continuous learning. By splitting semesters into two halves, the structure offers the flexibility to explore a variety of courses while maintaining depth and rigor in each subject. This dynamic approach not only broadens learning opportunities but also pushes me to step outside my comfort zone. Combined with the strong sense of community, Owen’s innovative academic structure truly sets it apart. What course, club, or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Vanderbilt Owen? The Closing Bell event at Vanderbilt Owen has been the most enjoyable part of my MBA journey. Every Thursday, the Owen community comes together to unwind, share food and drinks, and connect outside the classroom. What makes this tradition special is the weekly themes that celebrate diverse cultures and traditions, fostering a deeper sense of inclusivity and global understanding. For me, Closing Bell is more than just a social event—it’s a chance to build meaningful connections with my incredible classmates and faculty, strengthening the collaborative and supportive culture that makes Owen truly unique. This experience allowed me to play a meaningful role in shaping strategies that impact millions, aligning with my passion for driving global healthcare solutions. Connecting with people from across the globe, sharing unique experiences, and learning from their perspectives has created a strong sense of belonging at Owen. These conversations have been like mini masterclasses in global perspectives, and I can’t wait to keep expanding my horizons and growing alongside this incredible group.
