How has the case method enriched your learning? The case method has taught me to analyze problems using an application-based approach rather than relying solely on predefined frameworks. This learning method was new to me, but it has significantly enhanced my ability to conduct in-depth analysis of core issues, rather than focusing only on the breadth of a subject. By relating case facts to real-world scenarios, I have improved the practical applicability and relevance of my solutions. Moreover, the rich and dynamic class discussions further deepen analysis and broaden perspectives. The case method has also trained me to think on my feet, and link conceptual understanding to actionable insights.

Aside from classmates and cases, what part of the school’s MBA programming led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? Beyond the case method and peer learning, Ivey’s extensive and globally connected alumni network was a key factor in my decision. Their impact across industries worldwide is inspiring and provides unparalleled opportunities for mentorship and growth. Additionally, Ivey’s diverse, international cohort brings a wealth of perspectives from various cultures and industries, enriching classroom discussions. This exposure not only enhances the learning experience but also fosters cultural intelligence and adaptability essential for leading in today’s global business environment. Most importantly, Ivey places a strong emphasis on developing personal leadership skills and the character traits for building mature, responsible leaders. This holistic approach to leadership development was a decisive factor for me, as it aligns with my aspiration to grow into a well-rounded, future-ready leader.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: With a decade of leadership experience in the Indian Air Force, I transitioned to the corporate sector as an Engineering Delivery Manager at Alstom. During my service, I became the first woman to receive the highest professional categorization for combat proficiency and technical expertise in the missile fleet. This achievement challenged long-standing stereotypes about women in combat roles and encouraged others to pursue and succeed in this domain. Later, I assumed the role of the first female examiner for combat readiness assessments, which allowed me to mentor fellow officers and promote a more inclusive culture.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: My biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far has been building friendships and connections with classmates from all over the world. Learning from their diverse perspectives was eye opening. I also had the chance to work in intense 24-Hour Report team settings, which were both challenging and incredibly rewarding. These experiences taught me a lot about teamwork under pressure. Looking back, the 24-Hour Reports were not just about the academic rigor, but a lot about building those everlasting bonds that are created over shared challenges. Also, adjusting to a completely new case-based learning style has pushed me to grow and made the journey more meaningful.

What has been your most memorable experience as an Ivey MBA thus far? My most memorable experience as an Ivey MBA so far has been participating in Get Connected. I had the opportunity to engage with Ivey alumni who are working across diverse industries and making a meaningful impact in their roles. It was also a chance to connect with classmates and enjoy some fun moments together in Toronto. Overall, it was a great blend of learning, networking, and celebration.

Where is your favorite hang-out in London (Ontario)? Why do you (or your classmates) gravitate there? My favorite hangout spot in London, Ontario, is Gibbons Park. I love going there to take a break and enjoy the calm, green space. It’s the perfect place to clear my thoughts. The scenic trails along the Thames River make it especially peaceful and refreshing. It’s a perfect place to recharge and clear my thoughts. I often go alone to spend some quiet time with myself, but sometimes my friends join me for a walk or run along the trail. Whether solo or with company, Gibbons Park always feels like a refreshing escape from the everyday routine.

What do you hope to do after graduation? At this point, I hope to work in operations or project management, ideally in a space where I can create meaningful impact. I am looking for a role that not only challenges me professionally but also allows me to contribute to solving real-world problems and driving positive changes within an organization or community.
