What makes Atlanta such a great place to earn an MBA? Atlanta offers a variety of career opportunities. Giants like Delta and Coca-Cola to dynamic startups call the city home, and a similarly diverse population and culture that continues to grow and develop. As someone born and raised in the metro Atlanta area, it’s been incredible to see how Atlanta has changed, and I’m excited to see how it will continue to evolve as I pursue my MBA at Emory and beyond.

Aside from your classmates and location, what was the key part of Emory Goizueta’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The intimate class size at Emory Goizueta played a pivotal role in my decision to apply and ultimately enroll. I was seeking a close-knit academic environment where I could build meaningful relationships with both classmates and professors. Knowing that I thrive in smaller, collaborative communities, I felt confident that Goizueta’s intimate class size would allow me to fully engage and make the most of my MBA experience, while still benefiting from the resources and reputation of a top-tier business school.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Emory Goizueta? One of the opportunities I’m most excited about at Goizueta is participating in Goizueta IMPACT, an integral part of the first-year curriculum designed to hone students’ problem-solving skills through real-world consulting projects. It’s a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience by applying the frameworks and strategies we learn in the classroom to meaningful business challenges faced by real business clients.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: One of my proudest career accomplishments was helping transform a business unit operating at a loss into a multimillion-dollar revenue-generating business within just three years. I joined the team early in my career as their dedicated HR partner and had the privilege of supporting their growth from the ground up. Watching the team expand in size, capability, and impact while simultaneously evolving in my own role was an incredibly special experience and that team will always hold a special place in my heart.

Looking ahead two years, what would make your Emory MBA experience a success? As I approach the start of my MBA journey, I’m hoping through this MBA experience to come closer to discovering a career that taps into all of my passions and to grow into a more confident and surer version of myself. For me, success during these next two years means using this time not just to build skills, but to reflect on who I am, what I value, and what I want my future to look like. I’m grateful for this opportunity to invest in and focus on my personal and professional growth and look forward to what these next two years hold!
