Bridge: “First off, we are excited to launch the new AI for Business Graduate Certificate. We are also planning to pilot LearningClues in the core curriculum this year. LearningClues automates quizzes so that students can test their knowledge in core classes. The quizzes will give faculty a sense of which topics students are struggling with so they can review that content. The faculty is also using Rumi Docs, a platform that helps instructors manage and assess generative AI use in student writing. Co-founded by Ghazaleh Sadooghi, MBA 24, the Rumi platform includes customizable AI policies that enable faculty to set the level of AI assistance permitted for each assignment—from full integration to prohibition. Rumi also provides insights into the writing process that allow faculty to track how AI prompts were used.” P&Q: What types of educational and career support do you provide to alumni after graduation? How does it make them more valuable to employers during their careers? Bridge: “Haas alumni can be found in all 50 U.S. states, across 81 countries, and at more than 20,000 organizations. Our alumni are part of California’s economic engine — creating jobs, starting companies, and leading at top firms. Haas offers many alumni programs, including Lifelong Learning, alumni chapters worldwide, and a HireHaas program which helps alumni connect with job-seekers. Haas alumni have access to the UC Berkeley Alumni Portal, a Slack alumni workspace, and a Linkedin alumni tool. Each fall and spring semester a cohort of around 80 MBA alumni can apply to audit graduate-level elective courses at Berkeley Haas. The MBA Alumni Audit Program is free, but a lottery is used to select auditors. In addition, all Berkeley Haas graduates celebrating a milestone reunion this year, may enroll in one Executive Education program from a list of eligible programs at a deeply discounted rate.” Click on the links below for in-depth profiles of class members.
