Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of IIM Ahmedabad’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The design of the curriculum is a big hit for me. The way it progresses from Building Blocks to International immersion and ending at Be ready for Top Management, makes it my engine to be fully transformed while I transit from battlefield to Boardroom.

What has been your favorite course or extracurricular activity at IIM Ahmedabad? What has been the most important lesson that you have learned from it?  My favorite course has been Analysis of Data “AD” and particularly Bayes’ Theorem. I have learned that Type 1 and Type 2 errors are a possibility. Look into details and take calculated Risks.

What makes Ahmedabad such a great place to earn an MBA? Ahmedabad is mecca of Indian entrepreneurship since the time immemorial. It is a no brainer to kick start my corporate journey from the Holy grail.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: Apart from receiving the Formation Commander’ Commendation Card in the United Nations for exception duty, My biggest achievement was to receive Governor of Sikkim Unit Appreciation for Outstanding Service by a Battalion in Sikkim at the face of the enemy when I was commanding my unit.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far: It was to apply Bayes Theorem on a Force posturing Matrix on an international border during Op Snow Leopard and achieve over 50 percent more efficiency. I wish I had known it earlier.

What is your class’s favorite hangout away from school? Why do you gather there? Guru Kripa Chai wala. We hang out after every quiz, mid-term and final exam to ride out the experience.

What do you hope to do after graduation? I hope to join an organisation which fits my aspirational needs.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into IIM Ahmedabad? Hard work and being truthful to yourself will get you In but real journey begins within this Red Brick Furnace (Literally, it’s quite hot in here at Ahmedabad).
