Tell us your best Tuck story so far. Tuck MBA students are inquisitive, kind, and humble. They want to get to know their classmates on a deeper level and are eager to create a strong, tight-knit community. The alumni network is the greatest asset in my experience at Tuck thus far. Every alum I’ve reached out to, regardless of job title, company, or location, has responded with warmth and a true desire to help me navigate my MBA journey. They stay connected and continue to mentor and guide Tuck students through whatever industry they are pursuing. My first week in Hanover, I hadn’t had time to really get to know my fellow Tuck neighbors much, some of whom are second years returning from a busy summer interning. I was going inside my apartment when they insisted that I join them. We sat outside around a bonfire talking for hours. Many people came and went, all from various backgrounds connected through Tuck, just excited to be in community together. A bunch of strangers to me that made me feel welcomed and at home in a brand-new place. It’s simple, but this is something you don’t get everywhere. Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Dartmouth Tuck’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I ultimately chose Tuck because I knew, regardless of what I set out to accomplish professionally, the career services team and alumni network would provide me with every tool necessary to achieve my goals. They are equally invested in your success as you are. What excites you the most about coming to live in Hanover? What is the one activity you can’t wait to do? Hanover provides the college town atmosphere surrounded by nature and easy access to tons of outdoor activities. The ability to leave class and walk down a flight of stairs to jump into the river, hike local mountains, and partake in all the winter sports is awesome. I can’t wait to hit the slopes with my classmates! What course, club or activity excites you the most at Dartmouth Tuck? I am excited to learn from experienced and distinguished professors teaching courses on timeless as well as cutting-edge subjects. Even more so, to be able to learn through experiences like traveling around the world with the Global Insight Expeditions (GIX) Program. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: My greatest accomplishment has been the people I’ve been fortunate to mentor to achieve their goals. Nothing is more fulfilling to me than helping others succeed in whatever it is they set out to do. What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? I hope to use my previous experiences and unique background to drive positive change in business for a company with similar values to me, particularly in a leadership development program or strategy role. Additionally, I’m passionate about helping enlisted female veterans transition from the military to business school. What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Dartmouth Tuck’s MBA program? Take time to reflect on your past experiences, core values, and passions.
