Danae brings a rare combination to MBA admissions coaching: a professional background in product management at two FTSE-listed companies, graduate training in linguistics, and an MBA from EDHEC Business School. That intersection — commercial strategy, language, and business — shapes how she works with clients. Her approach centers on narrative, identifying the through-line that connects a candidate’s experience, goals, and character into something an admissions committee actually remembers. She works with clients targeting M7 and top global programs across a wide range of backgrounds — management consulting, finance, investment banking, product management, and non-traditional paths alike. Before joining Sia Admissions, Danae worked with Menlo Coaching and has spent five years guiding high-performing professionals through one of the most consequential decisions of their careers. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature, an MSc in Developmental Linguistics from the University of Edinburgh, and an MBA in Global Leadership from EDHEC Business School.
As a boutique consulting firm in New York, Sia Admissions works with a select number of clients to ensure a level of service and personalized coaching difficult to find at larger firms. As the founder, Susan personally works with every client when identifying their story and the approach to be implemented with each application.
The team at Sia takes great personal pride in the academic success and ensuing career success of their clients. Sia is proud to have helped future leaders access the likes of MIT Sloan, Harvard, Wharton, Cambridge Judge, and more. Their proudest moments, however, are assisting clients to access educational opportunities that may have otherwise been lost. For example, a client reached out to Sia after being rejected on all applications in 2018. With Sia’s help for 2019, they not only got admitted to their top choice institution but were offered a significant scholarship. This kind of impact is why Susan founded Sia Admissions.
While we do offer hourly and essay only services, the majority of our clients enlist us for the end-to-end Partner Package. The feedback from our clients, upon completion of the application process, consistently mentions that the end to end, hands-on coaching used by Sia was instrumental in helping them transform their applications. We attempt to help deserving prospective students work within the parameters of their financial situation. As such, flexible payment options are available when necessary.

Danae was instrumental in helping shape my MBA application narrative. She was highly responsive throughout the process and helped me stay on track to meet application deadlines through quick, thoughtful review cycles
When I began my MBA journey, I selected Danae as my consultant because I immediately felt that the time and energy I was investing in myself would be fully reciprocated. From the beginning, it was clear that she genuinely cared about helping me put the strongest and most authentic version of myself forward.
Before writing a single essay, Danae helped me build the foundation of my story. She had an incredible ability to listen to me ramble about my experiences, motivations, and goals and identify the through-line that connected it all together. She was incredibly thoughtful and thorough. She helped tailor each essay while identifying the right school-specific elements to reference, consistently pushing me to add specificity and color that I would not have included on my own.
Beyond the essays, Danae helped me completely overhaul my resume for MBA applications and spent over five hours of one-on-one interview preparation with me for each school. She coached me not only on how to answer each school’s questions, but also on how I present myself as a candidate and as a woman in business.
Danae brought clarity, structure, and a sense of calm to every stage of the process. She was extremely organized, turned around feedback quickly, and made the entire process feel far more manageable.
I was ultimately admitted to all five schools I applied to, four of which were M7 programs. I would not have achieved that without Danae, and I am deeply grateful for her guidance.
