When I decided to apply to business school, I knew where I wanted to go but wasn’t sure how best to tell my story. For context, I am a 25 year old international admit, who’s somehow managed to work in 4 different organizations since graduation. I knew I had to clearly explain why, and where I wanted to end up, within the bounds of a written application. I reached out directly to Chioma because I felt her familiarity with moving to the US as an international student would make for a great fit and it absolutely did! The Expartus Personal Brand Audit forced me to share examples that we eventually blended to form my unique brand, which was woven into my applications. My interview prep was stellar; I was asked tons of follow up questions to make sure my story was tight, and I got an additional mock interview with Mollie Wollin. When I first decided that I wanted to pursue an MBA I had no idea how to best form an application that would set me apart from other applicants. I knew I wanted (and needed) a consultant to help shape my story and bring my application to life. It didn’t take long after my first session with Expartus to realize that I had undoubtedly made the right decision. My consultant, Adaobi Arpino, provided a very warm and nurturing touch but was also quick to challenge me to dig deep so that my application had a clear and unique story. The Expartus process and working with Adaobi really helped me learn more about myself and, in turn, communicate to Admissions why I have a unique voice that would make a good addition to MBA campuses. From the one-on-one calls to the mock interviews, Expartus was always one step ahead and knew how to handle every situation and question that I had. To apply for my MBA, I sought consultation from Mollie Wolin from Expartus. I’d done the initial free consultations with several well-known consultants. Because of my non-traditional background, they all told me to aim for a lower-ranked school, with the exception of Expartus. With a month or so left before most application deadlines, I decided to put all my eggs in one basket and only applied to my dream school. Thanks to Expartus, not only did I gain admission to the school, but I also received a substantial scholarship offer, which was about 20x times the amount I paid for the services. The staff at Expartus provided me with more than just admissions consulting services. In a period of self-doubt, they were my biggest cheerleaders, and they were instrumental in helping me bring out the best in myself. In conclusion, you really can’t go wrong with Expartus. My experience with Expartus could not have gone any better. While I thought I had an idea of my story and how I would articulate it in my applications, my Expartus coach worked tirelessly with me to re-direct and refine my story.
