Consultant Bio

I manage an educational services firm, Practice MBA, that conducts one-on-one coaching as well as an intensive course of study in career development, language and culture immersion, and academic preparation for newly-admitted business school students.

I’m not an admissions consultant; rather, I work with MBAs − especially international students − who are already admitted to b-school and who want to maximize the value they derive from the degree, as well as increase their chances of success in the MBA recruiting process.

Prior to founding Practice, I served as Director of Career Development at The Yale School of Management (overseeing all student training and employer outreach), as a Sr. Associate Director at Wharton’s MBA Career Management office, and as an Associate at Katzenbach Partners, an organizational design and people strategy consulting firm in New York City.

I’ve also worked for a Silicon Valley start-up, for General Electric’s Litigation & Legal Policy office, and for a molecular medicine and life sciences journal, The FASEB Journal.

I hold an MBA from The Wharton School and an MA in International Relations from Johns Hopkins. I was a Fulbright Fellow in New Zealand, and earned an MLitt ‘with Distinction’ in History from The University of Auckland, and I also graduated with a BA in History from Yale University, where I spent most of my time competing as a member of the varsity fencing team.

I was born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria, and currently live in Seattle, where my wife and wife’s family are from.
