I worked with Neha intermittently through my MBA applications, primarily for interview prep across two of the HSWs. Although I’d written my applications independently, she took a step back to think carefully about what could come up in the interviews. What followed were thoughtful, introspective sessions where her questioning helped me surface the right facets of myself and leave interviewers with a clear sense of my vision and mission.
Her mock interviews were exactly what I needed. One school leaned heavily into introspective questioning, the other used a group format, and her preparation was a catalyst in me getting into both.
Beyond the prep, Neha is an extremely sharp and erudite person. Her insights span everything from Gen Z behaviour to retail store operations, and conversations with her are the most fun and engaging. My only regret is not working with her sooner.
Working with Neha began as an effort to shape my MBA application, but it ended up gaving me clarity and confidence in my own story. Coming from a relatively unconventional industry and a non-traditional path, I always felt the need to work with someone who could truly understand and do justice to that narrative. She was quick to grasp the nuances of my work and place them in a global context what they mean in a classroom, how they translate across geographies, and how they connect to my long-term goals. I came out of it not just better prepared for applications, but more excited about the schools I was applying to, clearer on my direction, and sharper in how I think and communicate.
When I started my MBA journey, I was deeply invested in the outcome – this wasn’t just another application cycle for me (like most of us!). It was months of reflection, ambition, anxiety, and very high stakes and I am glad to have Neha as my coach and mentor through this process. What truly set Neha apart was her incredible ability to remember the smallest details about my life – stories I had casually mentioned months earlier would resurface at exactly the right moment when shaping an essay. More than that, she has a rare gift for understanding the “real you.” Through our conversations, she was able to see patterns, strengths, blind spots, and motivations that I hadn’t fully articulated even to myself. She helped me tell a story that was not just impressive, but authentic.
Neha is also exceptionally honest (sometimes tough!) in her feedback, and that is exactly what you need in this process. When my thoughts were messy, overly anxious, or scattered, she cut through the noise and brought clarity and direction. At the same time, she was incredibly patient. We went back to the drawing board multiple times on certain stories, recalibrating until they felt right. Beyond being a consultant, she was a steady presence — part coach, part senior, part friend. During moments of intense stress and self-doubt (which were probably too often in my case 😅) she gave me the pep talks I needed and helped me regain perspective.
She is also extremely disciplined about timelines. All my Round 1 applications including forms, were completed 10 days before the deadlines. Those extra 10 days allowed me to retake my GRE/GMAT and improve my score, something that would not have been possible if we were scrambling at the last minute. That structured push made a real difference. In the end, I secured admission to Wharton with a strong scholarship. Beyond the outcome, I am genuinely grateful for the experience. Through every high and low, Neha guided me with clarity, honesty, and unwavering support.
What stood out to me about Neha from our very first conversation was her perceptiveness. Within minutes, she understood what was happening in my life without me even having to say it. Working with her was incredibly structured and she has an exceptional ability to read between the lines to uncover your true strengths and aspirations. Her interview preparation is equally thoughtful and methodical and really helps you walk into your interviews with real confidence.
One of the things I appreciated most is how candid she is. Neha refuses to settle for anything less than excellent, she’ll make you redo something until she knows it reflects your best. Her feedback is direct, both the good and the bad, so when she finally says she likes something, it genuinely makes your entire week!
Throughout the entire journey, Neha was the steady anchor I needed. She motivated me when I felt low, supported me like a big sister, and always had my back. She never asked me to do anything just for the sake of applications, everything was always rooted in authenticity. With Neha, I feel like I’ve found a mentor for life. Thanks to her guidance, I received admits from Columbia and Booth!
Neha was far more than just a consultant throughout this entire process. She was the compass I needed when the path felt like a maze. She knew exactly when to be my guide and when to be the tough critic who pushed me out of my complacency. Her greatest strength lies in her ability to see the individual behind the application, she invested so much time and effort in understanding my story that my essays remained authentically mine. I especially remember my struggle with HBS interview prep, rather than using a standard formula, Neha sat with me for hours, tailored her approach to my specific needs, and gave me the confidence to face my toughest battles. I am forever grateful to her for helping me find my voice.
I came into the MBA application process excited but a little overwhelmed, and Neha quickly became the steady anchor I needed. Her process was both structured and deeply empathetic. She took the time to truly understand my story, motivations, and ambitions, and helped me pull out themes and moments from my life that I overlooked for years. Many times, I left our calls thinking “I never saw it that way.” Neha guided me step-by-step, and every stage felt intentional. She was an incredible thought partner who pushed me to think bigger, go deeper, and write with more courage and honesty. She also kept me calm when I spiraled around deadlines or self-doubt and brought me back to clarity. What I respected most was her honesty. She never sugarcoated feedback, and she stood her ground when something didn’t work; it made our brainstorming sharper and more productive, and it consistently led to stronger outcomes. I genuinely feel grateful for the role she has played in me getting into HBS. She supported me throughout the entire journey, all the way till the detailed interview preparation, and she showed up with the same energy and care every single time. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this journey!
Neha is excellent at figuring out your strengths and what really makes you stand out. Within the first couple of months of working with her, I felt like she truly understood me and how I function. She pushed me to do more, and along the way threw in advice that was helpful beyond just the application process.
I was late to the application process, but Neha’s process is so efficient and streamlined that I was able to apply to multiple M7 colleges in Round 2 and convert a bunch of them. She has a clear vision that keeps you focused, but at the same time gives you the space to find your own story and standout points. I couldn’t have asked for better guide through the application journey.
For me, Neha has been much more than an admissions consultant. She saw something in my story even before I fully did. While others hesitated, she believed. She pushed me when I needed a nudge (or sometimes a firm shove), gave me feedback that was tough but always on point, and stood by me through the entire rollercoaster of this journey. Neha took the time to walk with me through the highs and lows of my life and helped me shape a narrative that was raw, real, and deeply personal. Because of her, I was able to present not just a polished version of myself, but the truest version. Thanks to her, I received admits from Booth, CBS, Yale, and Darden (with scholarships) and an interview from Stanford. Apart from the admits, what I’m most grateful for is how she helped me rediscover and own my story. I couldn’t have asked for a better companion in this journey.
Working with Neha was truly the best decision I made during my MBA application journey. Thanks to her strategic insight and hands-on guidance, I was fortunate to receive offers from Harvard Business School, Wharton, and Columbia.
What sets Neha apart is how deeply personal and tailored her approach is. She didn’t come in with a cookie-cutter playbook. Instead, she invested time upfront to genuinely understand my background — spanning countries, industries, and roles — and worked closely with me to unpack what really made my story unique. We spent several intensive sessions just brainstorming, diving deep into my experiences and motivations before even putting pen to paper. That early work laid the foundation for applications that felt cohesive, authentic, and compelling.
Neha has a real talent for narrative building and is an expert at interview prep for the top schools. With my global experience, I had a lot of moving parts in my story, and she helped me connect them into a clear and powerful arc—one that not only highlighted my achievements, but also brought out the “why” behind my goals.
Neha also brought creativity to the process. Whether it was helping me structure a tricky essay prompt or find the right voice for a personal anecdote, she always had fresh, thoughtful ideas that pushed me to dig deeper and elevate my writing.
More than anything, Neha was a true partner throughout the highs and lows of the process. She was responsive, encouraging, and never hesitated to hop on a call or provide honest feedback — even on tight timelines. Her commitment to her clients is unmatched.
I can’t recommend Neha highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who will truly invest in your success and help you bring your best, most authentic self to the table, she’s the one.
Neha is in a league of her own when it comes to MBA consultants. She isn’t just a guide for the application process—she’s a partner, a cheerleader, and a relentless believer in your potential, even when you doubt yourself.
Having a profile that did not meet all the so-called checklists, I knew my journey to top MBA programs was going to be an uphill battle. Neha not only walked that journey with me but often led the way when I felt lost. With her unwavering support, I secured admission to Columbia (with a scholarship!). The confidence and authenticity she inspired in me were instrumental in achieving these milestones. There were moments during this journey where I faltered—be it writer’s block or feeling overwhelmed by deadlines—but Neha never let me lose sight of my goals. She transformed my essays from ordinary to exceptional, always respecting the word limits while amplifying the strength of my story. What’s more, as deadlines loomed and stress mounted, Neha didn’t just meet me halfway; she went above and beyond, working late into the night to ensure everything was perfect. One of the most transformative aspects of working with Neha was her constant push for me to embrace my authentic self. While others might have advised me to over-polish or refine my story to fit a perceived mold, Neha encouraged me to showcase my raw, unfiltered truth. That authenticity struck a chord with admissions committees and ultimately set my application apart. Neha’s empathy and commitment extended far beyond essays. When I struggled with interview preparation, she conducted multiple mock sessions, offering clear, actionable feedback. Thanks to her guidance, I walked into interviews feeling prepared and confident—something I never thought I’d achieve. If you’re considering your options for MBA consultants, Neha is the one you can trust wholeheartedly. She’s not just an expert in her field but a genuine ally who will invest in your success as though it were her own. I’m immensely grateful for her role in my journey, and I can confidently say she’ll not only help you achieve your goals but also leave a lasting impact on your personal and professional growth.
After a tough 2024 B-School application cycle, I was low on hope. While other consultants offered generic feedback or downplayed my chances, Neha gave me exactly what I needed — belief in my potential and a clear, personalized strategy to aim higher.
Neha took the time to understand not just my profile, but who I am — my aspirations, values, and strengths. She introduced me to unique programs like Kellogg MMM and Columbia MBAxMS that aligned perfectly with my goals of combining business with technical skills.
Every essay and discussion with her felt tailored and authentic. I never felt like just another applicant in a crowd — my story mattered. Her turnaround time was incredible, and I always felt like we were working together, not just client and consultant.
What truly stood out was her commitment beyond admissions. Neha connected me with powerful, relevant individuals in my field — opening doors to meaningful conversations and real-world exposure even before starting B-School.
If you’re serious about getting into your dream MBA program and want a mentor who’s genuinely invested in your journey, Neha is the one. Working with her was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
Going through an MBA application process can be extremely taxing and intimidating, especially when you have no idea of how to proceed. Working with Neha as my consultant transformed this daunting experience into a structured and successful journey.
What sets Neha apart is her ability to keep you accountable throughout the process. For example, she pushed me to think deeply about my future goals in granular detail—something I would have likely avoided without her guidance. Her comprehensive questionnaire facilitated introspection about my entire life journey, from childhood to present day.
Neha’s sharp insight into what essay structures work best for different schools provided me with an invaluable mental framework. This clarity was crucial for tackling the essays, arguably one of the most challenging components of MBA applications.
During interview preparation, my mock sessions with Neha challenged me to master both depth and breadth of potential questions. Her disciplined approach and specific feedback translated directly into improved performance during my actual interviews.
Ultimately, the results speak for themselves—I was accepted to both Harvard Business School and Stanford Graduate School of Business, my two dream schools. All the hard work and dedication proved worthwhile, thanks to Neha’s guidance!
Moving to the US had long been a dream for my partner and me, but at this stage in my career, I knew I only wanted to apply to the top B-schools. Neha not only gave me the confidence to take this leap but also made the entire application process deeply personal and enriching. Her holistic approach—uncovering my life stories, identifying the moments that truly showcased my impact, and helping me present my most authentic self—was invaluable. More than just a consultant, she was a true partner in the journey, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide through this process.
Working with Neha was the most rewarding investment I made in my MBA journey. From the outset, she displayed an uncanny ability to distill the scattered puzzle pieces of my life into a coherent, compelling narrative. Her feedback was always incisive, yet never prescriptive; she didn’t just polish my essays — she pushed me to reflect deeper, think sharper, and write more honestly.
What truly sets Neha apart is that she walks the talk herself. In an industry where many firms pass you off to junior associates after the first call, Neha remains your thought partner throughout. Every word of feedback, every strategy discussion, every tricky paragraph — she’s there, sleeves rolled up. That level of direct involvement, especially from someone with her experience and editorial eye, is rare — and invaluable.
Her global vantage point also makes a real difference. As someone who has worked with applicants from across continents, Neha intuitively understands how to frame narratives for a cross-border audience. Whether it’s calibrating tone for a US school, unpacking how a local achievement translates on the global stage, or choosing which parts of your story to amplify for which program, she brings a nuanced, cross-cultural lens that elevates your entire application.
Her approach to interview prep was no different. Often treated as an afterthought, interview training with Neha was anything but generic. She took the time to identify the nuances of my story, the potential pressure points, and the moments I needed to own with more confidence. Each mock session was calibrated to bring out the best in me — not by drilling answers but by helping me articulate my thoughts with clarity, control, and authenticity.
Beyond her rigor, what stood out most was how personally invested she became in my journey. Whether it was reworking a stubborn paragraph at midnight or gently nudging me to trust my own voice, Neha showed up every step of the way. When I struggled with how to balance humility with ambition or how to make leadership feel earned rather than claimed, she guided me with clarity and empathy.
The results speak for themselves — I was admitted to my dream school — but what I value even more is the person I became through the process: someone who understands his own motivations better, has greater clarity about the future, and has learned to tell his story with authenticity and conviction.
It has been a great experience working with Neha. Her carefully chosen advice for each B-School and years of experience combined to immensely help me with the B-School admission process.
First of all, Neha’s brainstorming approach is incredibly detailed, looking at every facet of my life, from early experiences to significant life events in school to professional work environments. This thorough approach and attention to detail uncovered meaningful patterns and insights that I had not previously noticed, ultimately revealing themes that aligned seamlessly with my career goals.
Second, she prepared for the MBA interview with equal value, concentrating on the core MBA interview questions while making sure my answers were conversational and organic. She ensured that my formerly lengthy responses were concise and to the point so the interviewer wouldn’t become distracted from the main points of the story.
I would recommend her to anyone looking to apply to top business schools.
I spoke to many consultants before deciding to work with Neha for my MBA journey. While all of them had impressive credentials and success stories, I ultimately chose Neha because of her direct and transparent approach. During our initial conversations, she clearly explained the Seven Hats process and emphasized that selecting the right schools should come only after a deep understanding of my profile. That candid and thoughtful approach resonated with me, creating an immediate sense of trust and comfort. Looking back now, at the end of my MBA journey, I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I made. Neha’s process is incredibly thorough—it pushed me to reflect deeply, not just on my experiences but also on who I am as a person. Through our sessions, she took the time to truly understand the “Why” behind my journey, ensuring that my application told a unique and authentic story. I’ll never forget when she said, “Your profile screams Kellogg.” That level of insight and dedication was invaluable at every stage of the process. One of the things I appreciated most was Neha’s honesty—she never hesitated to call a spade a spade. She challenged me to bring out the best version of myself, even when it required tough love. Her unwavering support, whether it was prepping for interviews, calming my nerves, or simply reminding me to trust myself, made all the difference. I’m incredibly grateful to Neha and the Seven Hats approach—not only for helping me secure an admit to Kellogg but also for the invaluable self-discovery that came with it. I wholeheartedly recommend her to any MBA aspirant looking for a consultant who is deeply invested in their success!
When I first met Neha, I was an anxious candidate — unsure if an MBA was the right step for me and still striving to achieve my desired GMAT score. I had spoken to a few consultants before, but it was Neha’s positive energy and genuine belief in me that gave me the confidence to take the first step in this journey. A few months later, with her unwavering support and guidance, I secured an admit to Columbia Business School. Neha’s process began with an insightful questionnaire that not only encouraged me to reflect on my personal and professional experiences but also pushed me to think deeply about my future goals. What truly sets the Seven Hat process apart is that it goes beyond just securing an admit — it is designed to make you enjoy the journey and grow along the way. I can confidently say I emerged more self-aware, with greater clarity about who I was, where I stand today, and where I want to be. Through several brainstorming sessions, Neha not only guided me — she took the time to genuinely understand me. With her expert advice, I was able to craft a story that was both authentic and impactful, allowing me to present my best self to the admissions committees. Neha’s approach had the right balance — giving me the space to explore ideas while stepping in with firm support when needed. Her engagement was comprehensive, from goal setting and selecting target schools to refining essays and preparing for interviews. Even after I secured my admit, Neha continues to be a pillar of support, addressing all the questions I have as I prepare for the next chapter. I am incredibly grateful for her mentorship and wholeheartedly recommend Neha to anyone seeking an MBA coach who blends empathy, expertise, and a true commitment to their success.
Working with Neha has been one of the most transformative experiences of my MBA application journey. From our very first conversation, I was struck not just by her stellar track record in MBA admissions but also by her unwavering compassion, creativity, and high integrity.
Having worked with her, I can confidently say that she is very strategic and understands what it takes to get admission at top 5 global business schools. One doesn’t need any other guidance or preparation material while working with her. There are many aspects that catalyze such results and set her apart.
First, Neha truly understands your unique story and aspirations, and sees far beyond the standard profile. Rather than trying to fit me into a dominant narrative, she helped me discover the elements that set my application apart and uncover my “why”. Her personalized approach and patient listening empowered me to present an authentic narrative that resonated with admissions committees at top 5 business schools.
Second, her approach is all about taking action, developing independent thought, and doing the right thing—even when it means offering brutally honest feedback. Her dedication to empowering her mentees for long-term success shines through in every step of the process. Her guidance has not only helped me secure a place at my dream school but has also inspired me to pursue success with courage and conviction. Working with her has reinforced my belief in pushing boundaries and staying true to what matters.
Lastly, she believes in you before you believe in myself. When I felt hesitant before the interviews, Neha spent extra time to support me with thoughtful, candid feedback and unwavering encouragement. Her approach, rooted in both logical insights and emotional intelligence, empowered me to step out of my comfort zone and confidently face in-person interviews, a key reason for a top admit.
I wholeheartedly recommend Neha to anyone aiming for top 5 global business schools.
Neha is exceptionally talented at her craft, and her expertise shone throughout the entire process. She has a deep understanding of the MBA application process and provided invaluable support at every stage. Her insight into what each school’s admissions committee is looking for was instrumental in helping me identify and narrow down schools that aligned with my profile.
One of Neha’s greatest strengths is her ability to craft a compelling narrative that truly captures your story. She began the process by asking deeply introspective questions, which helped me uncover what genuinely drives me. Once I was able to articulate my passions and ambitions, she guided me in weaving an authentic and emotionally resonant story that was also highly relevant to the schools I applied to.
Neha’s support extended seamlessly into the interview phase. Her understanding of the nuances of MBA interviews was incredibly helpful in demystifying the process. The personalized training she provided gave me the confidence and preparation I needed for the interviews.
I highly recommend Neha to anyone aspiring to gain admission to their dream MBA programs
Neha (Sundesha) has been super helpful and extremely accommodative throughout the application process. I was particularly a tough applicant to deal with – I decided to change the story the last few weeks before submission, missed out on a few deadlines and needed extra work with interview prep – but through it all, Neha has been quite patient and flexible with my requirements. In hindsight, I also realise a lot of the advice she gave me was quite strategic and thoughtful. I benefitted greatly from her experience, which she generously shares in casual conversations. She does the interview prep in a very structured fashion – we “workshopped” (covered) every line on resume, essays and other details from application to ensure nothing was missed out. I was very comfortable and confident when i gave the interview because of the work we did together. She made it feel like a breeze to me. She is also extremely good with her writing and helped me get my story from good to great. I would definitely endorse her to anyone looking to apply to B schools.
Neha is a terrific coach. I was strongly recommended to work with Neha, and among my circles, she was extremely well-known for delivering results in a personalized and specialized manner. After just one call, I was convinced she was the right person to guide me through this journey. Unlike other consultants who might try to define your story for you from the outset, Neha is refreshingly transparent—she acknowledges that she doesn’t know your story yet and embarks on a collaborative journey with you to uncover and craft your unique narrative. The Seven Hats questionnaire is a comprehensive deep dive into your life experiences, systematically helping you reflect on and understand your journey. Neha truly invests time and effort into this crucial first phase, spending hours meticulously reviewing my responses. What sets her apart is her ability to ask the right questions at the right time, peeling back the layers of each response to unearth the deeper motivations and themes that would later form the backbone of my MBA essays. This process led to stronger, more compelling essays and gave me a newfound understanding of myself—insights I will carry with me throughout my career. The plans and goal-setting exercises we worked through together gave me a roadmap I will continue to track myself against for years. Essay writing, editing, and re-writing is an extremely taxing task. However, Neha made the process seamless and even enjoyable. Her clarity of thought, coupled with her deep understanding of my journey, meant that she knew precisely which aspects of my story to emphasize in different essays. Her patience and dedication ensured that every iteration brought me closer to the best possible version of my application, even if it meant revisiting drafts multiple times. What truly stood out was Neha’s style of positive reinforcement—her encouragement and constructive feedback gave me confidence and kept me motivated even during the most stressful parts of the application process. There were times when I felt exhausted or discouraged, but Neha’s unwavering support and reassurance helped me push through. Neha’s one-on-one interview training and mock interviews were instrumental in my preparation. Her ability to simulate real interview conditions, anticipate difficult questions, and provide targeted feedback made a significant difference. By the time I walked into my actual interviews, I felt prepared, confident, and ready to handle any curveballs that came my way. Thanks to Neha, I could systematically apply to five schools comfortably, receiving interview invites from two and an admit from Wharton, while I await the results of another program. Getting accepted into the schools I was aiming for would have been significantly more challenging without her guidance and support. If you are looking for someone who will not only help you craft the strongest possible application but also truly invest in your success, then Neha is the right choice. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this process, and I will always be grateful for her mentorship and support.
I was initially very sceptical about taking a consultant because a) I had applied before and had a sense of the process and expectations already, b) I wasn’t sure if the consultant will encourage me to talk about my true, genuine story or just share a templatised version, c) I was not sure if I will get sufficient attention from the consultant themself (and not their team), and d) It wasn’t super cheap.
Long story short – it was all worth it.
A friend recommended I work with Neha and her process seemed very unique to me. Her method encourages you to truly reflect on your experiences – what’s more is that she has the relevant experience to carefully peel off the layers, let go of the faff, and point you towards the links and build a narrative around that. She also is in regular touch with the AdComs and knows what they are looking for. This may sound simple but I’ve worked with different consultants before and it really takes experience to keep the story simple, very crisp and articulate, and something that sets you apart – all at the same time
Glad I worked with her! Just go ahead and trust the process 🙂
As someone who likes to do things on their own, I was looking for a consultant who would coach me and bring out my voice rather than influence me to fit into a defined profile. When I talked to Neha, I knew right away that she believed in authenticity more than anything else – not trying to change a person into an “ideal” version but bringing out their unique strengths in a way that speaks to others.
Neha takes the time to get to know you – from what inspired you as a kid to what you learned in college to what kind of impact you are trying to create at work. She is an excellent resource in helping you connect the dots and do some deep introspection – laying the groundwork for the entire application.
Where her coaching distinctly stood out for me was the interview preparation – she went deep into why I had done the things I did – my motivations, my approach to decision-making, and my hope for the future. She asked me the “big questions” and helped me communicate my thoughts so I would feel comfortable doing so during the interviews – always focusing on enhancing my unique style. When I was worried or anxious, she urged me to trust myself – reminding me of all I had accomplished so far and helping me stay positive.
Neha is a terrific coach. She will always tell you the truth no matter how hard it is to hear sometimes. She will support your goals and will not dismiss anything as impossible (difficult, yes, but not impossible). Getting accepted into the schools I was aiming for would have been much harder without the training and support I received from Neha.
Before choosing a consultant, I had done an elaborate exercise, probably speaking to all the consultants that exist. For every consultant I considered working with, I spoke to atleast 5 students who had worked with them – including those who didn’t get their desired outcome. Everyone who had worked with Neha in the past had the same thing to say about her – she is like no other – and now at the end of this journey I can truly appreciate why.
She starts the process by helping you understand yourself better, finally clawing deep inside you to create a storyline that will be so unique to you, and yet so real. I am not exaggerating one bit when I say she is an extremely intelligent individual, and having her on my side was truly game changer for me. Her selfless passion to help me succeed, even when it meant spending more time with me, was what made all the difference in my result.
The time she puts in upfront getting to know you, also makes her an insightful and empathetic interview coach. She put her heart and soul in helping me prepare for the final lap of the HBS interview – playing the role of a coach, friend, teacher and a true well-wisher – helping me overcome my insecurities, nervousness and sometimes even imperfect professional knowledge.
Finally, be ready for some strict feedback, which you better learn to appreciate, for your own good 🙂
Happy to share that with Neha’s support I got admits from multiple schools including HBS and Haas with multiple scholarships! I had spoken to multiple Consultants in India and abroad and realised that Neha would be my best bet at shooting my HBS shot and I’m so grateful for deciding to work with her. If you’re applying to Harvard or other top schools look no further than Neha.
Every applicant to these schools needs to stand out and find their core themes/USP. Neha is adept at asking probing questions and helped me uncover the deepest most visceral emotions that drive me! Best part was that, even though I worked with her on only 3 schools, I could leverage these insights for multiple other schools and she was ready to help me prep for my interviews from these other schools too! I interviewed with four M7 schools and found HBS interview to be a completely different beast altogether.
I would not have been able to have such an incredible HBS interview experience without Neha’s support. She helped me go deep into each and every resume bullet point and bring to life these stories by sharing more context, actions and impact in a easily understandable and compelling manner. For my HBS interview prep she took out an extraordinary amount of time (even when she was on vacation!) to ensure that I’m fully prepared and confident. Her intense HBS interview preparation support helped me breeze through all sorts of in-depth questions asked in my HBS interview and helped me have extremely wonderful interviews with other schools as well. Immensely grateful to Neha for all her support and cannot recommend her enough to other HBS/T10 aspirants!
“You don’t stand a chance”.
India’s top-ranked P&Q-rated consultant told me as I expressed my desire to apply to GSB.
I was dejected but not delusional, I knew my chances were limited but not 0.
A consultant in the industry recommended Neha. This was the first time I heard one top-rated consultant saying such great things about another. I was intrigued.
During my first conversation with Neha, I learnt why.
Neha also knew my chances were slim but instead of changing our destination, she adjusted the sails and taught me how to steer.
The journey is the reward, and it truly was for me. Exploring events from my early childhood days till the presentation I made to my team yesterday, and taking a 30K ft view of it helped me understand myself better. This elevated self-awareness has helped me address my biases and challenges better.
Neha is not just another consultant; she is a true coach
MBA admissions is a very draining process; make sure you pick the right partner; make sure you pick a coach and not a consultant 🙂
“Coaches with a heart” – A phrase you would often see Neha use and it’s not just something she says, I have truly seen Neha embody it.
She delves into your life journey since childhood and understands you as a person before even starting with the application process. For example, In my case through initial interactions with me, she gauged perfectly that being a reapplicant I was not completely confident about my story and helped me with the same, being a great motivator throughout the journey. The best part of working with Neha is that she doesn’t believe in standard templates and allows you to craft a unique story for yourself. The way she helped me reflect on my self, connect my childhood values to everything I had done, all decisions I took and things I needed to work upon was amazing. It wasn’t just an application process anymore, but a true self-reflection exercise. I couldn’t have asked for more.
She is truly invested in her students, their story and continuously keeps thinking of the best way you can be presented. She brought a very positive, encouraging and enthusiastic vibe to every discussion I had with her and that helped me connect with her on a very personal note and discuss openly.
Overall, it was one of the best decision to work with her, her mentorship was really phenomenal and made a huge difference for me both in terms of career progression and personally.
Working with Neha was one of the best decisions I took during my application process, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has not only cracked the success formula for B-school admits but she is also an amazing mentor and human from whom one can learn a great deal! Her personalized approach is truly expectational. From the very beginning, she made me look inward and reflect deeply on my life journey, which not only helped me with applications but also made me take a step back and introspect on my professional and personal growth so far- something I truly cherished!
Neha is dedicated to tailoring like no other consultant. She helped me customize every experience and every essay till they accurately reflected who I am as a person. This focus on personalization, rather than relying on templates or past essays, let me paint the application with all facets of my personality. Neha’s own industrial expertise and her network within top colleges were also immensely helpful throughout the process- helping me refine my essays even further, adding a level of finesse that would have been hard to achieve otherwise. We worked tirelessly on my application and reiterated essays multiple times. With her, it was never about how many hours she spent with me, but rather her focus was always on quality, even if that meant going beyond the budgeted time.
In addition to her exceptional essay coaching, her interview preparation is also second to none. She spent hours with me, training me in person, to identify potential questions that I might be asked and how to tackle them the best. While most consultants focus on a number of mock interviews, Neha only cared about how confident I felt with my preparation and left no stone unturned to ensure I was ready to ace the interviews. Not only did she do multiple mocks with me for every school, but she also let me leverage her own network and speak with industry experts so that I was abreast with anything the interviewer might throw at me.
But what truly sets Neha apart is her genuine care and compassion for her students. Despite my initial struggles with the GMAT, Neha kept pushing me to believe in my story. I often felt under-confident and dejected but Neha was there with me throughout like a rock – helping me focus on my strengths. Application processes can be quite strenuous but having a compassionate mentor like Neha by your side can make this journey way easier. She was truly a blessing and coached me with all her heart! Thanks to Neha, not only have I received admits to Chicago Booth and Wharton with sizeable scholarships, but also grown tremendously personally and professionally.
I worked with Neha for my MBA applications, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was a reapplicant, and after applying to business schools unsuccessfully the previous year and consulting with multiple consultants, I realized that having the right consultant can make all the difference, and Neha certainly did for me – helping me secure admission to my dream school, HBS.
One thing that stood out to me right from our very first consultation call was Neha’s strong belief that everyone has a unique story to tell, and that authenticity and personalization were key to a successful MBA application. During the initial weeks, she made time for the most crucial aspect of the application process – introspection – by scheduling multiple calls for us to have thorough brainstorming discussions where we dove deep into the minutiae of my life. These sessions really helped me tell my story in a unique and compelling manner. In fact, Neha’s dedication even surpassed mine. She often sent me links to articles and urged me to fine-tune my story. For instance, while finalizing an application ahead of a deadline, I received an email from Neha saying, “Hey, I found this interesting development. Why don’t we incorporate this into your essay?” This is the level of perfectionism that Neha brings to the table.
Neha was not just a consultant, but also a great mentor and coach. I am someone who needed a lot of assurance and had many doubts along the way, but Neha’s constant support and guidance made the whole process a lot easier for me. Whenever I felt overwhelmed or unsure, Neha was there as a strong pillar of support, pushing me in the right direction and giving me the space to understand my fears. She helped me think more deeply about my goals and encouraged me to be bold and creative in my essays and interviews.
Neha’s interview preparation process was a real game-changer for me. Neha and I did multiple storyboarding sessions that helped me think through all aspects of my experiences. We did several mock interviews tailored to the school, and within the first couple of calls, I saw a significant improvement in both my content and delivery. I learned the valuable skill of storytelling throughout the process, and I am forever grateful to Neha for that.
Overall, I cannot recommend Neha enough. Her unique approach and unwavering support made all the difference in helping me get accepted to my dream school. If you are seriously considering applying to business school, I highly recommend working with Neha.
A friend of mine referred me to Neha and after the first meeting, I was sure that I wanted to work together with her on all my applications.
Given my varied unique experiences, Neha suggested that we should start the process with a bunch of storyboarding and brainstorming sessions. At the end of all these sessions, we were able to connect the dots across my different stories and we narrowed it down to a core theme of my life and story. I could have never done such deep introspection on my own and Neha’s unique sole-searching process was quite creative, liberating, and effective. Neha carries strong conviction on things and her reassuring attitude was really important in my days of self-doubt and confusion.
Her story writing style has a perfect blend of creativity and intuitiveness and helps bring out a very unique personal and professional story. Neha supported me on every aspect of my application and her unique inputs on my resume and other parts of the application were very useful in putting forward an exhaustive application. Neha was super helpful during all my interviews and made sure we covered all the basics.
She has definitely cracked the formula for interview prep and the real interview was very similar to the mock interviews we had done together. Neha is very easygoing and was literally always available to answer the smallest of my doubt/confusion. She is an amazing program manager and always made sure that we finished our work ahead of all the deadlines.
Neha is someone who genuinely cares a lot about her candidates (not only about the MBA process but for a successful professional career). Working with Neha has been an absolute pleasure and it has helped me evolve as a professional. I can’t thank her enough for everything and would recommend everyone to work with her and experience the difference.
As I reflect on my application process, I truly believe that choosing to work with Neha was the best decision I made in the entire process. My fiancee and I both worked with her in different years and got to our ‘reach’ schools with her guidance and support.
Not once in the entire 8-9 month process did I feel that this was a transactional relationship. Neha is a ‘coach’ in the truest sense of the word – if you put in the work and dedication, she would care about your applications more than you do. Going through the entire journey with her actually made me grow as a person and a working professional apart from the business school outcome.
Summarizing below each of the aspects that I loved about the way Neha works:
1. Understanding ‘you’ and your story – Neha spends a lot of time in the first few days just hearing about all aspects of your life in detail. She tries to truly understand one’s motivations and helps bring out beautiful stories that might have subconsciously influenced your decisions. Of course, it’s you who eventually needs to decide what to write, but she makes the process a lot more structured and a lot less intimidating.
2. Knowledge of various schools and school selection – Neha knows all the top schools in and out – she knows what are they looking for, what they offer, and everything that is hot at the school in the last few years. – She further complements her school knowledge with a great network, consisting of alumni, current students as well as adcom members who you can reach out to anytime for learning about the schools. – Once you have chosen the schools with her, Neha does not waste any time thinking about what’s possible or not, what others are writing, who you are competing with, etc. These are factors out of your control and there is no point thinking about them. There is just a razor-sharp focus on making your apps better each and every day.
3. Essay iterations – Neha has immense patience with essay iterations. We went over more than 15 iterations of my HBS essay over months before she finally approved it. – I had closed my HBS essay 1.5 months before the application and moved on to other apps. But 20 days before the deadline, she reached out to me herself saying we need to change a paragraph as she had some new ideas. I was fascinated to see that she was probably thinking about my essay more than I was.
4. Interview prep – Neha does an excellent job at interview preparation. I did not have to do any mocks with even a single person apart from her. We spent a lot of time thinking about each and everything that someone could ask about me and my work, and there were hardly any questions in my interviews that we had not prepared for.
Apart from the above pointers, I believe Neha is a very positive person who pushes you to bring out the best in yourself. The application process is long, often daunting, and full of failures – but working with her can make you really enjoy it. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who is considering going to a top business school in the US.
I decided to approach Neha after the brilliant reviews from peers in the investing world. After I spoke with her we instantly connected and I was sure I wanted to work with her. Neha’s structured and systematic approach made the application process much smoother especially as I had a hectic job and was struggling to adhere to the timelines. Going into the process it was unclear to me what my story was but after several detailed discussions and guided introspection sessions with Neha, we were able to connect the dots – it almost felt like Neha knew my story even better than me by the end of the process. She remembered all the little details and experiences that I had narrated to her during our initial conversations and would be able to bring in relevant examples and weave them in as we were reiterating the essays. I remember one week before the deadline, Neha called me one morning and said “I think I have a better idea for you” and we revisited and reformed the entire essay and strategy in two days while she was on a trip with her family in the last week of December – this is just a testament to how invested she was in me and the entire application process. She was also very effective in providing honest and critical feedback when necessary and pushing me to do better. We kept iterating till the end and till both of us were fully satisfied. Beyond just being my admission consultant Neha was also a great mentor. She was also tremendously helpful in navigating the waitlist process and connecting me with relevant alumni of various schools. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Neha and highly recommend working with her!
You have college counselors and you have Neha, a mentor and a guide in their truest sense. Someone who holds your hand through the process without forging a dependency, ensuring your growth even in the journey.
Unlike your undergrad, the decision to go to business school, or any other master’s program for that matter, is one that comes with a great deal of intention, and thought but most of all, opportunity cost. And OC’s bff is doubt, all of which Neha is able to assuage, narrating parallels with herself, students she’s worked with, and others whose example befits your position. Her process is unique — it serves not to just give her a detailed summary of your professional path so far but to truly allow her to understand your motivations, dreams, and passions. Neha is able to see your strengths when you’re oblivious to them, she believes in your story even before you do yourself and she helps you crystallize your goals when they need decluttering. Through overwhelming nights and nerve-racking days, pre-interview sweats, and complaints about the GRE and GMAT tests, she stands with you solidly, without counting the number of times an essay is edited or how many mock interview sessions she does with you.
I have never met a counsellor like her and can recommend her blindly, mutely, deafly in all and every way. She’s the best there is.
– Empathetic and a bold game-changer | HBS & Wharton admit –
Working with Neha has been a truly transformative journey. I am an Indian woman and applied in round 2 during one of the most competitive years. This was a challenging process personally considering my less than average GMAT, GPA, highly technical background in oil and gas, coping with the pandemic, and camera-shy!
Neha guided me to overcome every barrier; her structured brainstorming process helped me to uncover my true story and find my voice (literally during the interview training!). She coached me on every step without any limits or time bounds – how to adapt from a niche technical field to the business world, multiple iterations to perfect the essay despite personal setbacks, and tailor my career goals.
I deeply admire her passion, ethics, and value to help others. She encouraged me to dream big and her guidance made all the difference in reaching my dream schools – admitted by Harvard and Wharton and interviewed with Stanford. Neha is a Harvard specialist (a club of her former students!), coach, and a wonderful person 🙂 I learned a lot working with her and if I had to redo my entire application process again, I would jump on board with her without any second thoughts.
Best wishes on your journey!
Working with Neha for my B-school applications was the best decision I took. I talked to multiple consultants before deciding to work with her. The reason was simple – she showed faith in me right from the first call and gave me hope that I could get a seat at M7 schools if my story were told the right way.
The way Neha talks about every aspect of your life during her initial conversations, you almost feel like talking to a friend. She listens to every bit of it with a child’s curiosity, asking you questions about your childhood days to your professional career. Her questionnaire makes you think deeply about various aspects of your life which otherwise are bound to get overlooked. At the end of these sessions, when she summarized how she saw me and my story at the end of these sessions, I immediately felt I had made the right call to take her help for this process.
She helped me select which schools are best suited for me, and I remember her saying, “Harvard is the unequivocal top choice for you.” Little did I know this would become a reality. During the complete process, she keeps you motivated by being your friend and disciplined by being your coach. During every step of the process, she was as involved as I was. She works with so much passion as if it were her own application. Finally, her understanding of the schools and unique goal mapping techniques helped us make very concrete long-term goals and back them through recommendations. To help us get more clarity about schools, she also organized sessions with Adcoms.
Finally, I loved the process of interview preparation process with Neha. Meeting her in person and doing those mocks with her made me feel very confident as I went in for my HBS interview. This confidence really made me have a great conversation with my interviewer and he congratulated me post-selection, mentioning how engaging and inspiring our conversation was!
In this whole process, Neha made me know myself better, think about my life profoundly, and helped me define the big goals I want to chase. She kept my application very authentic and I can vouch that she really coaches with a heart. To everyone, working with Neha is one of the best decisions you would take in this journey towards pursuing an MBA. Can’t thank her enough!
From no interview calls in the previous year to getting admitted into one of my dream programs at Berkeley Haas, I cannot over-emphasize the power Neha brings to the table. I was 100% sure that either I will work with Neha or no consultant for my second b-school attempt. While I approached her slightly late, I am grateful that she accommodated me into her already near-packed schedule.
Here are some things that stood out while working with her:
– Neha spent an enormous amount of time getting to know me – the most crucial yet often overlooked aspect of applications. She had me fill out a detailed questionnaire and have multiple conversations on my life journey. She went into the nitty-gritty of the company I worked in, its business model, and my role to best position my story.
– Neha follows a tailored approach. She had a stronghold of my strengths and weaknesses and helped me prepare a solid game plan – which schools to target in R1 vs R2. She has incredible insight into what each school wants, which helps identify the right stories to develop compelling essays.
– Neha remains highly objective and transparent throughout the process. On multiple occasions, she openly questioned my point of view and told me what she felt was right. This helped me not get swayed by my emotions/biases, surfacing the most impactful stories in my application.
– She has a unique style for preparing for MBA interviews. Within 1-2 calls, I saw a dramatic improvement in my content as well as delivery. She even connected me to her past clients in the schools I was targeting, which helped me understand specific nuances of each school and build confidence for the interview.
If you want truly personalized, no-nonsense advice for MBA applications, Neha is THE person to work with.
Neha has constructed a very streamlined approach with 7Hats which takes the stress away from business school applications. She designs a time strategy that works for you, is very prompt in her responses, and is extremely detail-oriented. She has a great work ethic and kept me honest and on track throughout the process. She was the reason I could manage business school applications with a demanding full-time job.
What appealed to me most about Neha was her focus on helping me bring out my authentic self. We started with conversations to go through every detail of my life story and she helped uncover the strongest aspects of my story. As we iterated over essays, I would often want to change the way I’d presented something and edit it afterward. Neha, as a picture of calm and patience, helped me iterate until I was absolutely comfortable and confident with my essays. She is also a great wordsmith and really helped bring out my best voice in my applications!
I also did my interview prep for HBS and GSB with Neha. She has a deep understanding of different schools and their interview formats. Her interview training is very hands-on and we did several mocks which got me comfortable with each school. With her wealth of experience across industries, she would also share valuable anecdotes and add industry knowledge to my repertoire.
Neha really goes above and beyond in coaching her candidates and often leveraged her own network to put me in touch with mentors. It was an incredible experience to work with her and I came out of it with not just an HSB admit, but also more clarity on my own strengths, goals and objectives. I would highly recommend working with her to all future business school aspirants.
Neha is awesome! I spoke to 4-5 consultants before deciding to work with Neha. Her willingness and openness to listen to my experiences and mold them into a linear story are what made this decision really simple for me.
Neha strictly believes in a “no-template-story policy” and each step of the process reflects the same. Upon signing up, she spent countless hours with me to bring out the most powerful and impactful elements of my story from different walks and aspects of my life. Further, she organized “Coffee chats” with admissions committees at top schools and even connected me with many top-school alumni from her personal network to help me figure out which school is the best fit for me. Upon collating all the story elements and school-specific information, she would organize brainstorm calls and come up with edits and iterations at lightning speed. For the interviews, she conducted multiple mock interviews and group discussion sessions. I was truly amazed by how different each simulation was from the other, covering a wide variety of questions.
Neha has truly been there with me through the process, at times more anxious than me, even taking hour-long calls during her trips with family/ friends. Applying to b-schools could be a grueling process with phases of highs and lows. Neha was there at each step of this journey, celebrating the highs with me (still remember the surprise doorstep cake delivery upon Wharton admit) and motivating me to overcome the lows. I feel I have personally learned a lot from her, even beyond the construct of the application, a few things on articulation, positioning, and people management that my high-pedigree employers were not able to teach yet (I have a top-tier VC + MBB consulting experience).
Neha brings so much more to the table than any other consultant/ coach. Dedicated, fast, intelligent, and structured in her approach to admissions consulting, she surprises you time and again with on-point insights which can give you the edge you need to get in. A master of her craft, she has unparalleled writing skills which make you take pride in the apps that you submit. She takes the time to really listen to the finer details of your story, right from the get-go. She does a phenomenal job at in-person/ one-on-one interview training, which will benefit you long after the process is over. Like a true mentor, she takes a real interest in your life and career. Plus, she has a great network which she does a beautiful job at leveraging to get you in touch with relevant mentors.
‘WE ARE GOING TO PUSH YOU OVER THE LINE THIS YEAR”
These were the words I heard from Neha when I shared with her my responses to her thoughtfully-crafted “Getting to know you” questionnaire. As a reapplicant to the top business schools in the world, her words became my ray of hope and yes, she indeed helped me realize my dream!
Neha is someone who knows what it takes to bring out the best version of yourself into the B-schools essays. She was immediately able to understand each and every piece of my journey, and while staying authentic to myself, helped me draft a story that would be impactful enough to get me into Harvard Business School 🙂
She helped me with every part of the application, from the resume to the small in-application questions and post-interview reflection, always working with a smile and sharing edits at light speed! When in doubt about the culture and opportunities available at a particular school, she even helped connect me with alumni and also organized coffee-chats with top B-schools.
My most favorite part of the process was the extensive interview training with Neha! We did multiple mocks, where she came up with new questions each time, challenging me to break outside of my comfort zone. I am still in awe of her immense knowledge of the business world, which I personally got to learn a lot from. She made sure I was well prepared for any curveball that came my way.
Neha will be the professional yet personal guide to you, who you can trust blindly in this roller-coaster ride. She will motivate you through the tough times, make sure you stay on schedule, and be as invested in your application as if it were her own.
I’m glad I worked with her in this mad process!
A structured 360-degree approach that is tailored to who you are.
When selecting a consultant, I wanted to be careful to find someone that could understand my slightly non-traditional background (clean energy and policy). Since my first conversation with Neha, I was convinced that she would be perfect to guide me in my application cycle. Neha’s process is extremely immersive and bottom-up, starting from your childhood memories and going right up to what you did last month. Her priority was to understand why I have taken the path I’m on, rather than just fitting it into an essay. This made the entire process comfortable for me, which is essential since you’re going to be poring over every detail in your life with your consultant. I like a structured approach, and Neha’s plethora of tools and guides were excellent in helping me lay out my story. Neha involved herself at every step of the application process while simultaneously understanding that the meat of the story should come from the applicant. This balance was critical for me as, with her guidance, I was able to craft an application that was deeply personal and meaningful.
Neha’s approach heavily focuses on doing the absolute best you can. She never hesitated to suggest another iteration if she saw value in it. This perseverance ensured that I was confident not just in my application, but also in my interviews. She also helped me understand the differences between schools and helped me to identify schools that made sense for me. Her working style is both professional and personal, making the entire experience an absolute delight. I could reach out to her at any time and always received undivided attention, even as she would juggle numerous candidates.
Neha has a wide network of contacts across business schools and set up chats with alumni, admissions committees, and even business leaders. When working with Neha, it’s not just about the application, you get a 360-degree mentorship for your future career. I would absolutely recommend her to every B-school applicant – this is someone who combines deep expertise and a great track record with a unique and thoughtful approach tailored to who you are.
Right from our first call, I knew I had to work with Neha for my MBA applications. She was extremely confident about the 7Hats approach and made me feel like I was in great hands from the very beginning!
Apart from her expertise, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of depth she went into with my profile – not just my work experience, but also my personal stories, motivations, and aspirations. It felt like working with a true partner and mentor rather than a consultant.
Given my non-traditional path within consulting, I was finding it really hard to convey my story and trajectory. Once Neha went through all the details over numerous calls and messages, she helped me see the bigger picture and provide guidance on how to put it all together for a successful application. This level of attention and care was well beyond my expectations and went a long way in helping me fully understand/articulate my own profile and goals.
When it came to interview prep, Neha’s guidance was priceless. Because of the groundwork we did, she was able to give me very detailed advice, elevating my answers to a whole new level, which was a huge confidence boost.
I’m sure anyone willing to take the process seriously and go the extra mile will be a great fit for 7Hats and working with Neha on their goals.
I learned of Seven Hats (which in my opinion is a hidden gem) through a friend. Having interacted with a few admissions consultants earlier, my first conversation with Neha really stood out as she explained the Seven Hats process (one that I vouch strongly for). While I had approached Neha with a low GMAT score (Indian candidate), her positivity and interest in really understanding my story and “connecting the dots” is something that I dearly admire.
I applied to Wharton (admit with 50% scholarship), Haas (admit with 30% scholarship), Kellogg (waitlist), Booth (waitlist), and Stanford (invited to interview despite low GMAT) and was able to leverage Neha’s guidance along with the Seven Hats process to really uncover and connect my story. Neha was extremely supportive throughout my application process and was the perfect guide be it for school selection, essays, or interview prep – in fact, my interview prep with Neha was very systematic and rigorous and helped me scale from zero to ten in less than a week. She also went out of the way to connect me to her MBA network from Columbia for a coffee chat.
Overall, I’d highly recommend Seven Hats. The MBA admissions process can be a little daunting at first but the Seven Hats method really helps reduce stress and anxiety by helping you communicate your best, authentic story and as a by-product discover yourself and learn to dream bigger.
The MBA application process seemed particularly daunting to me because of my non-traditional political background. However, I was able to identify the programs that would benefit me most and gain admission into Columbia Business School thanks to the support and expert help I received from Neha Kamani and Seven Hats Consulting. Neha’s process required me to conduct a comprehensive analysis of my goals, background, skills and even childhood memories. As a result of the thorough and introspective tools provided by Seven Hats Consulting, I was able to craft an MBA application far more meaningful, passionate and comprehensive than I would have been able to otherwise. I received motivation and guidance every step of the way, from program selection to interview preparation.
Neha went the extra mile to connect me with alumni, organize coffee chats with admission committees and make sure that I was informed about the intricacies of every program that I applied to. I felt prepared at every step, and I am grateful for Neha’s hard work. The MBA is a transformative experience, and at Seven Hats this journey began with the application itself. I strongly recommend Neha Kamani’s Seven Hats Consulting to everyone who wants to maximize their potential and achieve their MBA dreams.
Working with Neha was a unique process that helped me discover my own story as well as helped me grow a lot in my own personal journey to an MBA. She offers unlimited reviews of essays and is not afraid to explore unique angles to your story. In fact, after the first few edits of my essay, I did not feel too strongly about the story at which point she helped me figure out the story I felt most strongly about and completely pivoted the essay. Applying to B-schools is a tiring process with all the events to attend and research to do. Neha helped me shortlist just 5 schools fit for my needs, so I could focus my energies on these only.
Her essay writing skills are absolute delight but so is the interviewing prepping experience with her. She helped me prepare and target each school’s unique asks through my essays and interviews instead of just recycling the points. The interview prep was especially helpful, that made me feel totally at ease at my own interviews.
After securing an admit, she even helped me with scholarship application advice.
She is open to your own ideas but will firmly guide you in the right direction when you are deviating from the right path. She works flexible times, weekends and holidays to accommodate those who have a full working schedule. Extremely impressed with her work ethic and end-to-end service that most consultants don’t offer in the market.
I applied to Harvard, Booth & Kellogg in Round 1 and was admitted to Booth & Kellogg, and waitlisted (with interview) at Harvard.
It was a great experience to work with Neha. I heard about Neha from some of my friends who were admitted to HBS, Booth & Kellogg. At first, I was really surprised to not find her on P&Q but as I talked to her, I loved her Seven Hats approach towards crafting an authentic application and signed up immediately.
P.S. She has taken my suggestion to market her services more and here, I am writing her first review on P&Q. 😀
What I liked most about her was that she never forced-fit any frameworks but helped me connect the dots and bring out my authentic self. Unlike most consultants, she did not overemphasize on GMAT score and school rankings to decide the list of schools. Instead, she walked me through the culture and ideology of each school and encouraged me to look for the right fit with my long-term goals. We spent hours discussing my life stories – experiences, motivations, and setbacks. She helped me refine my goals by going deeper into what drives me at a fundamental level and how that reflects my professional choices now. Her counseling goes beyond this application cycle.
Over the 6 months that I worked with her, she helped me grow as a storyteller. As an engineer from India, I was very analytical in my writing. Neha comes with a lot of creativity and she helped me pen down my thoughts in a more compelling and visually stimulating way. Every time I felt stuck with writing, she guided me with new ideas and themes. On a personal note, I had a difficult year at work. Neha was really patient and supportive throughout the process.
For anyone who is looking for a consultant who thinks outside the mold and stays genuinely invested in your progress, I strongly recommend Neha. Just speak to her and you can decide. 🙂
Neha was the only consultant I spoke to before embarking on the process for MBA admissions. While I had heard positive reviews from close friends who had been accepted to HBS, my first conversation with her strongly reaffirmed my thoughts- her focus was not on force-fitting frameworks or solely defining potential as per traditional schools of thought, it was on whether I will be able to introspect and navigate the process through an authentic lens.
The Seven hats approach of systematically first understanding my life story in depth was a key differentiator according to me. We spent hours discussing each milestone and moment of my life, small or big, and Neha would ask just the right questions to make me question my beliefs and get to the truth. She also made the process very comfortable for me, which helped me share my story, even parts that I would have shared only with friends, with her. Before we had even begun writing first drafts, I knew that we were on the same page and more importantly felt very confident about the direction we would take.
The process of writing, editing, and re-editing is very gruesome for any candidate, but Neha was very supportive throughout and very patient with me. She motivated me in times when I was tired of the process and ensured we fine-tuned it till we both were completely satisfied with the output. Had it been for me, I would have stopped at version 10, but Neha made sure we got to the best output till version 20! When we had to change my essay days before the deadline due to life updates, which needed to be incorporated, she was more patient and calm than I was and helped me re-piece everything together.
Neha also helped me prepare for my interviews for each school, even if I had not applied for those schools with her. She gave valuable inputs on how to approach each interview format and helped me calm my nerves before some of them! She was a true partner in the process for me, I always felt like she had my back.
I was able to independently apply to multiple other schools in a very efficient manner because of the Seven hats approach. Overall managed to get into Stanford GSB and also got admits from Kellogg and Chicago Booth. I would highly recommend her to future B-school aspirants and suggest getting on a call with her to see if you are ready to take the plunge with the Seven Hats approach.
