Short term goal is to achieve success on Capitol Hill or tech in a more senior role. Absent a test score (and assuming that you didn’t have a lot of quant/analytical experience in college since you studied Political Science), I don’t see you being super competitive at MIT. MIT is going to want to see evidence that you are capable of handling the rigor of their program.
Your goals are a bit vague but that is okay for MIT. They presume that if you have been successful in endeavors to date, you will be successful at whatever you choose to pursue moving foward.
Good luck!
