Where does my journey start? Far from healthcare. When I was 4 years old I started paving the way for my professional racing career. After competing in world Karting Championships I moved to auto racing but then my life changed: when I was 18 my father passed away because of cancer and from that moment my mission has been to help people. I am a Pharm.D. & SDA Bocconi alumnus and a leadership graduate program member in Big Pharma (Fortune 500) firm. I am a passionate Entrepreneur at heart, a Mentor, an International Patent Inventor (Innovative drug delivery system to fight infectious diseases and future outbreaks), and a Biotech Start-up Co-founder.

Hi, it’s Nisha from mbaMission. You have such an inspiring story – I’m fascinated by how your personal experience drove your impact in healthcare, and am grateful for your role in the fight against Covid-19!
I think that your post-MBA goal of consulting, and ultimate aspiration to shape pharmaceutical strategy, is quite logical given your background and motivations, and business schools will appreciate this clarity of ambition. They’ll also value your community leadership and impact.

One thing that would help you maximize your chances of admission: a GMAT score that’s more in line with HBS and other top 10 schools. While your current score won’t necessarily keep you out, it will make things more challenging. If you feel there isn’t room for significant impact on the GMAT, you can switch to the GRE. Some schools (though not HBS at this time) even accept the EA.
Additionally, I advise anyone who’s applying to HBS (which is not only extremely competitive, but also a bit unpredictable in their decisions) to expand their list of schools. Programs that are especially strong for healthcare: Wharton, Kellogg, Ross, and Fuqua. I hope that helps a bit – I encourage you to schedule a free consultation to discuss in more detail. Best of luck!
