Hi Mr. FS Tech Consulting, Melisa here from Stratus Admissions. To start off, you have hit the mark from a stats perspective with your very strong GMAT and Engineering GPA. For your Fintech goals, I like that you have had both banking and consulting experience. You are bringing a diverse set of skills to the table already. I have worked with applicants that have had one or the other, but fewer with both. Let’s focus on Kellogg because it is your target school. Where I would want to dig in further would be on your leadership and collaboration. It sounds like you’ve had increasing responsibility and a promotion, which is great! When you are telling your story, make sure you highlight the collaborative nature of your work – and how you’ve worked with teams to achieve. Looks like you have leadership in your community involvement at work – showing your impact will be a stronger story than volunteer hours.. Kellogg will want to know where you have been a ‘brave leader’ and worked through a challenge. Fintech is a logical career trajectory for you – to help stand out among other Fintechers – why are you personally drawn to Fintech? What problems do you want to solve through Fintech and Why? This personal side will help your authentic story come through. So while your stats are very strong, Kellogg is a school that is really about both stats and story. I think you chances are on odds – they will go up with a strong and authentic story. Wish you the best of luck through the process!
