You would think that the odds for a doctor at Harvard Business School would be pretty darn good. After all, it takes a great deal of discipline and intellect to become a physician. As you no doubt know, HBS rejects about 89% its applicants from an already self-selecting pool of incredible candidates. So you need to hedge your bets by applying to a few other schools. The healthcare options at Wharton and Kellogg are solid. But so is a place like Vanderbilt which has one of the strongest MBAs with a healthcare concentration in the world. I would urge you to apply to a broader range of schools, including Yale. Otherwise, I think your chances at Harvard are pretty good, though nothing can ever be taken for granted in elite MBA admissions.
