Hi, it’s Nisha with mbaMission. You’ve got quite a few impressive elements to your profile: solid academics and a rigorous course of study in Chemistry, non-profit board membership, and athletic achievements. I don’t know much about your career aside from the fact that you’ve worked in investment analysis and that you’ve had great international exposure – the progression you’ve made over the last 4.5 years (and the quality of recommendations you can secure) will matter.

Business schools always want to understand not just WHAT your goals are, but WHY – what drives your desire to work in a firm centered on healthcare? Be sure to explain this in your application. Also, given HBS’ competitiveness for all applicants (even those as multidimensional as you) I definitely urge you to expand your list of programs. A few I’d consider given your finance background/goals: Wharton, CBS, and Booth. Hope this helps a bit – best of luck!

The two jobs you list have similar titles, why the move and what wins were you able to score at each job? More details on your work with the homeless in NYC will add additional dimension that will hopeful allow you to score a try. Although you do have decent odds, if you are set on attending business school I would suggest adding some other schools to your list such as Columbia, Tuck, Duke and or Darden. Best of luck.
