From my early years, I consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning a remarkable 9.5 CGPA in high school and a commendable 96% in senior year. Opting for a technology-centric field to pursue my undergraduate degree, I cracked India’s toughest exam, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), securing a top 1% All India Rank (AIR) among 1.2 million applicants.
Aware of the exceptionally talented peers at IIT, renowned for its rigorous research-oriented curriculum, I embraced academic competition, understanding my CGPA only scratches the surface of my potential. While my grades may not stand out, innovative projects and entrepreneurial experiences at IIT significantly contributed to my overall growth, providing valuable insights beyond traditional classroom learning.
Since stepping into IIT, I’ve been drawn to diverse non-academic pursuits, particularly an emerging startup, VASITARS, funded by the institution. This experience sparked a newfound passion for entrepreneurial ideas and innovation, leading me to contribute to the startup’s landing team, focusing on market research, revenue models, and scalability planning.
Beyond contributing to VASITARS’ entrepreneurial strategies, I innovatively developed a curing adhesive paste, earning me the “Best Innovation Award” of the year 2019 at IIT. This success fueled my dedication to fully immerse myself in transitioning our startup to an expansion phase by demonstrating our products/services and securing a contract with INDIAN OIL. Despite the time commitment out of my academics, I maintained a position within the top 25% of the class and my unwavering commitment to actively contribute to VASITARS.
To pursue an MBA, I dedicated myself to GMAT, achieving a competitive score of 740. This success reaffirms my commitment to academic readiness for advanced business education.

I made a difference when I proactively addressed systemic inequity in distribution of high-conversion leads among sales associates in my current organization. Recognizing the demotivation for some associates caused by assigning leads based on demographic backgrounds, I presented a statistical analysis to the management. Supported by data from previous quarters, this analysis highlighted the correlation between biased lead distribution and declining revenue. My proposal for an experimental quarter, redistributing such leads based on tenure and cumulative productivity, gained approval. This adjustment mitigated bias in business processes, fostering increased confidence among sales associates and resulting in an 32% growth in revenue the following quarter.
Post-MBA, I want to join a leading consulting firm as a management consultant. Captivated by broader concepts like risk management and product strategy, I’m eager to leverage that experience in learning to build the next phase of my career in management consulting, where I envision myself helping clients by solving business problems on a global scale.
